This charming detached, second-floor garage apartment, nestled in the Blue Hill Peninsula, offers a serene escape with stunning forest views. Located near Blue Hill, it’s just 20 minutes from Bucksport and Ellsworth, and 55 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The apartment features a cozy living space, high-speed internet, and a dedicated desk area, perfect for remote work while enjoying coastal Maine. Whether for work or play, this space is ideal for a comfortable stay.
Nice new apartment upstairs of the garage. It’s a spacious single room (except the bathroom of course), nicely laid out with pleasant lighting through windows looking out towards the trees. The “kitchen” is minimal: a dorm-sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven, water kettle and coffee maker. Sufficient for our needs but not enough for an extended stay. Given that the rental is a one-room studio with laminate flooring, the pet fee seemed a bit steep, but the apartment itself was a good bargain for the area. The location is nice -- down a steep gravel driveway, just a few blocks from the nearby shopping center and food co-op. Blue Hill town center itself is just a mile or so away, with a very nice waterfront park. We were there in early spring, but it would be a pretty spot for water activities in summer.
