Beautiful spot, very comfortable

Excellent location, close to Blue Hill and easy drive to Deer Isle. Very quiet area to stay in. Hosts were very pleasant and accommodating. Looking forward to staying there again!

It was such a perfect cottage in the woods. Everything was clean and cozy. It was beautifully decorated and very quiet. We felt so welcome and there was even a gift basket for us when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Quiet, serene getaway

A beautiful, well-maintained and lavishly provisioned property. A bit out of the way, but within easy reach of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We enjoyed our stay!

The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to share the following:- We supply fresh linens and towels for every stay, and we also keep an additional set of sheets stored in the couch compartment for guest use.- We place plug-in fragrances in the home as a courtesy, but we understand scent is a matter of personal preference, and they can easily be unplugged if not desired.- We encourage guests to reach out to the Guest Contact should they have any questions or concerns during their stay. The Hidden Gem Cottage near Blue Hill Peninsula was in a beautiful location and close to many nature activities. The online photographs are accurate, and it is very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Cozy, peaceful cabin near Acadia

We enjoyed the cozy cabin. It was clean, well appointed & quiet. It’s an easy 45-60 minute drive to Acadia. We enjoyed local restaurants, Island Take Out & Marlintinis.

Vacation dream

The Hidden Gem was a great place to come back to after long days at the Acadia Park and Bar Harbor. Very clean and well supplied to be a second home away from home. Definitely would stay again. Guest was very helpful and made sure everything was ready for us.

Quite remote setting - Attached to beautiful main home

Used to location for home base as we explored the coast. Well located yet quiet and remote. Cottage was well appointed with everything in good working order.

Acadia Vacation

The property was outstanding! Each room was beautifully decorated with interesting touches throughout. And the owner could not be more gracious. He offered tips for Acadia and shared his favorite restaurants. We loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely return! Thank you for making our stay special!

Awesome Stay

This is a place that is quiet and has an amazing amount of thought put into the rental space. It has everything you need and probably a couple of things you forgot! A cozy fireplace to come home to at night and a beautiful yard to sit and unwind in. It was for us, the perfect vacation.

It’s really a gem!

We stayed at this gorgeous cottage for two. Nights while we hiked around Acadia. The place was spotless, and every detail was attended to. They even left us a thank you note and some bottled water and snacks! Well worth staying here even though it is an hours drive to Acadia. Would definitely stay again!

This was a beautiful place to stay! Very clean and well maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the supplies you need. The only improvement I can think of would be a new matress.

The cabin was appointed extremely well, furnished comfortably, located conveniently to all interesting sites of the Acadia area. Owners provided all the necessary and thoughtful details- Wi-Fi password, coffee, smart tv, toiletries, kitchen supplies, outside seating. Excellent VRBO rental.

We had a quiet and peaceful week in this secluded and beautifully appointed cottage.The rooms were spotlessly clean. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay. We brought some food and cooked freshly caught steamers from Johnson’s Shellfish in Blue Hill. The General Store and The Morning Moon Cafe are great for breakfast and lunch. We took the Mail Boat out of Stonington to Isle au Haut for a lovely view of the islands off of Deer Isle. Cliff was a great host, left us to our seclusion and was there only when needed. We truly enjoyed every day of our stay.

Great Getaway

Property was well maintained, private, quiet, and in beautiful location surrounded by woods! Owner was very responsive to text messages in answering questions. Cottage was very homey with gas logs and everything needed was provided. We would definitely recommend this property! If we return to Maine in the future, we would rent it again.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our trip so much! The home was beautifully appointed with everything we needed for the trip. There is a Keurig for your caffeine needs. Blue Hill is a very cute little town. We grabbed groceries at the Hannaford and Walgreens. Blaze is an amazing restaurant! Harriman Preserve is a must see, about a mile hike to a quiet little beach that we had all to ourselves. So pretty and perfectly Maine!
