Maybe 1 roll of paper towels or some kitchen towels to wipe hands, and maybe a broom we could use to sweep, just because I'm a clean as you go girl even when on vaca but other that than fantastic! Neighborhood and neighbors we super friendly too! Just enough space for a small party of 4 to enjoy together.

Thank you again for your kind words, we truly appreciate having had you as guests! 😊 I did want to clarify that there were actually multiple rolls of toilet paper available at the property, as well as a broom located in the laundry room. While we don’t provide paper towels, we do supply reusable kitchen towels for cleaning. Clean, good neighborhood, easy parking, nice space. There aren’t enough basic amenities like hand towels, scissors, trash cans, towels. And the owners live upstairs which was misleading but it went fine!

The home was in a great area and close to the city. Well maintained and clean home. The advertisement was a little deceiving as it’s the basement unit and the owner lives upstairs. The back patio is shared. The owners were nice but I wish I had known that before renting.

Inside the property was okay. The kitchen and bathroom was clean. The living room was cozy. I do want to remark that the bedrooms had scuffs and marks on the flooring and wall. I do not want myself or any other renter to be held accountable for something that was already there. My biggest issue was the back patio space. The hot tub/pool was not cleaned, maybe for months from the looks of it. The gazebo was also in disarray. The idea of it was nice, I just wish there was a little extra attention to those areas to make sure they were clean. Communcation was easy. My personal experience, I'm assuming the neighborhood does not have people of color come through very often as I felt I was being watched or side-eyed anytime I was outside, Very unsettling.

Thank you for your feedback. For clarification, the pool is seasonal and closes in September, which explains why it was not in use during your stay. After this reservation, I did need to make some bathroom repairs, which was disappointing. My decision not to host again is based only on the condition in which the property was left, and not on any personal matters. Also, for transparency, we have security cameras on the exterior of the property. These are for safety purposes only and to help our guests feel more secure during their stay.

This property is located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. It’s close to Downtown, Chinatown, and the White Sox stadium, making it a great spot for visitors coming to enjoy Chicago.

👉 Please note:
• NO PARTIES or gatherings are allowed only guests on the reservation are allowed to enter to the property. If your plan is to have a party, this is not the right place, as the area is very peaceful.
• Quiet hours are after 10:00 p.m.
• No smoking anywhere on the property — not inside, yard is not part of the vrbo only the front sitting area .
• Pets are welcome with an additional fee.

It’s a cozy, family-friendly space in a great location, ideal for small families or travelers looking for comfort, safety, and convenience in Chicago.

I chose Bridgeport because it’s peaceful and full of local charm. One of the coolest spots is Bubbly Creek, a unique part of the Chicago River right by the neighborhood. Walking along the creek is relaxing and shows Bridgeport’s rich industrial history.

The area is very safe, with great bars and restaurants nearby, plus Chinatown and the White Sox stadium just minutes away. It’s a quiet neighborhood but still close to downtown and all the city has to offer.
