Your cozy cabin on the Guadalupe River in beautiful Hunt TX awaits you! This cool retreat features two cottages consisting of 2 queen beds, 4 twin beds, and 3 bathrooms. The living room offers an enjoyable space with a comfy sofa bed for extra guests.

Come enjoy breathtaking views in our little slice of paradise! Enjoy romantic evenings with your loved one while soaking it up in the hot tub overlooking the river. Enjoy fun in the sun or fishing with our kayaks, tubes, and row boat! There is even a floating dock for a friendly game of "king of the hill"! With AC, WiFi, and heating, your stay will be excellent. It's easy to see why you'll be able to unwind at our place.

Always a great time at Kipp Cottage!

This was our 10th year staying at Kipp Cottage for camp pick up and it never disappoints! Beautiful grounds and lots of fun floating on the river and visiting with family.

Lovely River House

Stayed out here for a girls trip and river and property is so charming. You can sit in the hot tub and look at the river or lounge down by the water or on the covered porch. The main house is very cute and cozy-- perfect for girls get aways with your besties. We spent all our time in the main house. The other house on the property is more a sleeping quarter and great if you came with teens or multiple families and just need sleeping space. There wasn't anywhere to hang out in that house and it was sort of spooky in there compared to the charm of the main house. I'd totally come here again. You have a great private spot on the water. No cell service (there's wifi), but that was a perk for us!

Great River Retreat

We just got home from staying 5 nights at this beautiful rock cabin on the Guadalupe River. Even though there is a severe drought in Texas, the river here was full of nice water. There are plenty of places for a family to relax, either in the den in front of a tv, or better yet, the back porch or down by the river, which is accessed by a nice cement sloping walkway with plenty of good traction. Across the wide river is a nice 200 foot bluff so you are not looking at neighbors, when relaxing in the mornings or evenings. Nice sized lot with huge trees affords great privacy. Big wood burning fireplace too! I highly recommend this place for either a family or a romantic getaway for 2.

Another Great Stay at Kipp!

We have been staying at Kipp Cottage for almost 10 years now. It is such a special place we always check to see if it is available before anywhere else. Audrey Land is great to work with and super responsive as well. Looking forward to next time already!

Misleading: 1. Depth of river not as advertised. 2. Fishing to find out catch and release only. 3. Too small for 7, 5 adults, 2 children in main house. 4. Pontoon in river not there. 5. Water depth said to be 6-8 feet, actually 2-4 feet. 6. Sediment in river made it muddy. 7. Pictures mislead size of living room and Kitchen. 8. Walls made of plywood, not quiet.

Everything you want for your River vacation

Private and secluded but still close to town, this property delivered for a relaxing 2 family vacation. And you can’t beat the views of the River and cliffs. Both kids and grown ups swam and fished!

Relaxing Paridise

The pictures don’t do it justice the views and water. Since my kids are fans of actual camping I called this glamping. They enjoyed it. Super nice area.

Relaxing Getaway!

Kipp Cottage is a lovely property! We had 3 adults in the small two-bedroom cottage and the other 2 from our party in the larger one-bedroom home - but all the cooking and porch-sitting happened at the back of the small cottage, and it was SO relaxing. VERY private. We enjoyed the kayaks and row boat. Kitchen was very well-stocked as far as tools and pans. We hope to return!

The Kipp House Is The Perfect Getaway!

Absolutely stunning location with your own park like, water front acreage covered in lush grass. Abundant wildlife to enjoy and a perfect water front location to enjoy kayaks, etc. Easy access to Kerrville, but you really won't want to leave. The homes are quaint and well stocked and would easily accommodate multiple people.

Charming River Retreat

Kipp’s cottage was a lovely retreat on our way home from Medical appointments in Houston. Both houses have great amenities, beds are very comfortable and cozy. Our intention was to have a place for my Dad to fish. Unfortunately, the access from the house to the water was too steep for my Dad. If you are visiting with any family members that is not entirely ambulatory or use a cane getting down to the waterfront is very difficult. The only thing missing from this listing is a book on the history of the main house. My sister and I loved the charm and wanted to know more about the history and stages of how the house transitioned over the years.

Adorable cottage right on the river!

We had a great time! The cottage is perfect.- had everything we needed, very clean clean, and a great location! Really enjoyed walking right out the back door and going down to the river.

Wonderful Girlfriend Getaway

A perfect weekend for a group of five women. The property is lovely, the back porch facing the river was just right for hanging out and catching up. Check in and out were super easy and Audrey was always available to answer questions. We couldn't have asked for more.

Beautiful River frontage

Had a wonderful time with family and friends! Cabin is quaint and all we needed for a long weekend. Owner Audrey is great to work with and a consummate hostess. Would definitely love to come back again. Thanks for sharing this beautiful secluded riverfront property with us.

This was our family vacation home. My Grandparents were from Harlingen TX and they wanted a cool, fun place to swim and fish. We’ve had many lovely camping experiences through the years with all the Camps. Mystic, La Junta, Camp Stewart to name a few. Many fun memories of going to Crider's Rodeo/Dance, sliding down the Ingram Dam, Hiking around MO Ranch and having lunch at the Hunt Store.

The little cabin home with a breath taking view of the peaceful Guadalupe River. The majestic bald cypress trees on the water front and the wildlife that calls it their home. Axis deer, whitetail deer, geese, eagles, raccoons, porcupines, hummingbirds, turtles and fireflies.
