We chose this VRBO because the listing described it as "quiet and serene," and the photos made it look like a great place to stay. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite.After attending the Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs game, we arrived around 11:00 p.m. exhausted and overheated. The building was anything but quiet. There was a loud party in the downstairs apartment, and despite the listing mentioning a secured entrance, someone was sitting at the entrance smoking and simply let people in and out.When we entered the apartment, every air conditioning unit had been turned off. Since there is no central air, the apartment was extremely hot and took quite a while to cool down.Although our group ended up being four people instead of the five we had originally planned, only three towels were provided for a two-night stay, which was not adequate.Cleanliness was also disappointing. I took photos showing dirt in the bathroom, a picture frame in one of the bedrooms that had fallen off the wall and was simply leaning against it, and noticeable stains on the living room couch. My daughter slept on the couch and could clearly hear every conversation from the downstairs apartment, along with frequent train noise throughout the night.
