Get what you pay for

Location within Austin is great and some good local coffee shops/restaurants walkable. Price was far lower than other rentals near by. However, the apartment itself has seen better days. Smelled heavily of smoke inside, some patched up holes in the walls and let’s say the floor was less than clean. In addition, the complex has some sketchy activity. We witnessed a verbal altercation between several neighbors in the parking lot during the day.

Great location for St. David's Medical Center

Excellent space...clean and exactly as described! Love all of the special touches in the unit. We were in a downstairs unit which was perfect for my husband's medical condition. However, we're not used to the noise from upstairs. This was the only downside. We did enjoy the neighborhood and the nearby bookstore was amazing!

It's very conveniently placed, close to the venue where we saw a concert, close to parks and stores and restaurants. Also, very comfortable inside.

Not really bright or breezy but it'll do

Nice location - walking distance from a cute book store, a juiceland, convenience store, and easy to drive to most places.The bed was comfy and the kitchen had all the basics you needed. The space is just as pictured with all the essentials you'll need. AC worked great. The weirdest thing we ran into was the bathtub didn't drain by itself so you had to keep draining it while you showered but other than that it was fine for two nights. I don't think we would have enjoyed staying for much longer than that. The apartment is located on the first floor of a complex that looks like a former motel. It's not really bright or breezy as there's quite literally one window that opens out to the parking lot so you wouldn't want the curtains drawn back or the window open. It was unclear if any of the other apartments were occupied because it was always very quiet. They have a ring camera at the front door which gave some sense of security.

Home away from home

Our stay at this Vrbo property was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the host had gone above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, and it was obvious that a lot of care had been put into making the space inviting and functional.The property had everything we could possibly need—nothing was missing! Whether it was the fully stocked kitchen, cozy linens, or the little touches like fresh towels and toiletries, we truly felt like we were at home. The host’s attention to detail made the entire experience seamless and stress-free.We appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and felt completely at ease throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a true home away from home, this property is a must. Highly recommend!

Frustrating stay

Not a good experience for us- unit that we were told to go to did not unlock with the door code we had been given. A lady came to question us because it was the unit she was staying in. Lots of confusion and waiting for host to return messages/calls while we stood outside a locked door. Later that night (now in a different unit) we came back to unit and the code that worked to unlock door earlier in the day would not work. Again, more waiting at 11:30pm for host to answer to give us a new door code. Pictures make unit look nicer than it really is- we would not stay here again.

Clean Studio, but Space and Amenities Fell Short of Expectations

While the studio itself was clean and the host was responsive, there were a few aspects of our stay that made the experience less comfortable. Unfortunately, there were quite a lot of bugs around the property, including on the window screens, doors, and right outside, which made us hesitant to open the windows. The space was also smaller than expected — although the listing mentions over 600 square feet, it felt much closer to 300. The bathroom was very compact, with little room to move around, and the closet wasn’t usable since it housed a water heater and a rollaway bed.Additionally, the advertised laundry room wasn’t really functional for us, as there were bugs inside the washer and dryer. It was disappointing since laundry access was one of the features we were looking forward to. Lastly, while the host did respond to our messages, we would have appreciated clearer check-in and check-out instructions upfront, including details like parking information, where to find batteries for the TV remote, and how to access the laundry room, rather than having to reach out during our stay.Overall, we appreciated the cleanliness and communication but found that some of the issues made it difficult to fully enjoy our time there.

Great location in Hyde Park

Great location, convenient to go back and forth to UT to visit our son. Restaurants close by on Guadalupe. Everything was very good in the studio apartment with dishes, towels, linens, etc. Comfortable bed and couch.
