We were very disappointed in our experience on this stay and felt the condo and setting were not adequately described on VRBO. The condo is in a dilapidated, sketchy area. We are experienced and tolerant travelers, but arriving at the condo, we were concerned that the area was not safe to park our cars, and we certainly would not feel safe walking around at night. There were several men hanging around, beat up cars and the smell of weed.The building across from the rental unit was falling down.Entering the condo, the door handle was loose and a broken coffee table was the first thing we saw.The condo itself was clean with a small but nice kitchen. Bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable, the sofa bed was lumpy and thin.We stayed the first night of our 3 night stay since we had no choice at that time of day. Then we had to find another place to stay. We asked for a partial refund, but the owner refused and stood by the effusive 10/10 and 9/10 ratings. We are baffled and want to be sure future guests have a truer picture than we did.

Had a great stay. Place was extremely nice. Everything inside seemed brand new and freshly renovated. Place was well organized and clean too. Ran into an issue and notified Tam who was extremely quick to reach out and remedy the issue.

Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay! Some construction near by but very little traffic in the area! This location was perfect, quiet, and close to all the plans we had made! Overall very satisfied.

We really liked the condo! Very clean, recently renovated, with nice kitchen set up, and great shower! Bed was extremely comfortable. There is a great little coffee shop a block away with amazing crepes, and it is right near a bus line. We had no problems with the neighborhood personally, but it might feel a little sketch to some. The boarded up Jack In the Box next door and its constant crew of folks reminded me of a scene from The Wire. The complex itself seems to be about 70% under construction, with beat up pavement (not ADA accessible) and the pool wasn’t very enticing. But if you aren’t traveling alone and are looking for a good deal, I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Weekend in Austin

My family and I stayed for two nights. The condo had everything we needed from extra pillows to kitchen ware/appliances. It was very clean and we all slept comfortably. It was also within a short distance from everywhere in the downtown Austin area.Tam was patient, responsive and accommodating. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great condo, iffy location

Inside the condo was pretty much perfect. Just myself and my girlfriend stayed and it was fun to pull out the couch to watch TV. Everything was clean and Tam communicated very swiftly about the few questions we had. It was my fault for not reading the reviews about the location, but the rest of the complex is pretty run down and under construction, and the back gate is always open. Our first night coming back to the condo there were quite a lot of men hanging out near the entrance which was rather alarming for two women traveling alone. Nothing happened during the course of our 3 night stay, we just didn’t go out walking at night or use the pool, and minded our business. The only other small thing was that the last night of our stay, the dryer started beeping intermittently around 1am and nothing I did worked to stop it until it eventually stopped on its own. The proximity to the city and the amenities are very nice, just wish I had read the reviews about the location since I don’t love contributing to gentrification.

We were just in for 1 night. The complex is being remodeled, but did not interfere with our stay. This condo was well appointed (nice toiletries, lots of pillows and blankets and kitchen ware. The neighborhood is a little “sketchy” in some areas, but that is true of the area near the college in general.

Nice place, very clean

We rented the condo for the weekend because we were going to a concert at the Moody Center. It’s not too far away and fairly easy to get to, which made the location very convenient. The condo itself was very spacious and clean—plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable. One thing to note is that the water in the sinks doesn’t get hot, but the shower does, so that wasn’t a major issue for us. Also, the exit gate wasn’t closed due to construction. Overall, it was a great place to stay at a great price for our weekend plans.

Apartment in complex. The complex is currently undergoing renovations.

The apartment was clean, quiet. Nice walk in shower. Could use a few better knives to cut bread. Otherwise, suited our needs perfectly.

Cozy spot

We were overall impressed with the interior of the condo - it is quite spacious and would easily fit 4 adults without stepping on one another. Everything you need is within the condo. Might consider adding a chair if advertising for 4 adults tho as there in only a couch to sit on in the living space. As mentioned from previous people the area is less than desirable but we had no issues and even walked a few blocks down to pick up a burger. I wouldn't walk alone or at night but we just minded our own business. Overall we were satisfied with our stay here - Tam was excellent with communication.

Great location and very clean. Close to downtown without being in the craziness of downtown. Close to good food and fun bars but not so close you can hear the riff raff.

Convenient condo

We stayed after a concert nearby so we wouldn’t have to drive back home. It was a convenient spot for us, check-in was easy, condo was exactly as described. Had everything we needed.

The neighbourhood seemed a little sketchy but once I arrived at the apartment, it was sweet. Had everything I needed, comfortable bed, Roku, good shower, and minutes from downtown Austin. And Tam was very responsive!

Great stay

Condo was very good, clean and all essentials provided. It was easy and quick to get to downtown by car or uber/lyft, but although it was a gated complex, the area was just a little 'sketchy'. However, it was really good value for money.

We are located in a culturally diverse, blue collar, family oriented community.

There are many great food options within a 5 mile radius. But, walking distance will offer Chipotle, Anne’s Treats, 'What a burger', 'Jack In the Box', 'P Terry's', 888 Asian Cuisine and 'Hai Ky' Vietnamese, Subway, Dominos, Papa Johns... There are more as well, this is a quick reference.

There is also a full service bar / pool hall within walking distance by the name of 'Clicks Billiards'.

'Emo's' is about a mile away, a live music venue to check out if you happen to be in town when they're hosting a concert. And in the adjacent parking lots across the street are 'Buzzmill', a local crowd casual bar with a nice outdoor patio and fire pit when it's cold. And 'The Jackalope', another local bar scene with louder music atmosphere, games outside on the patio and the occasional dj.

Although the nightlife is fun, my personal favorite neighborhood destination is the beautiful hike and bike trail right down the street on Lady Bird Lake! Great place for kayak rental or just to take a walk, bike or people watch. Bicycles and electric scooters are readily available to get you places.

Grocery store! The most convenient local store is right across the street from the entry gate to the complex. Otherwise longer term stays may prefer more selection at the grocery store - HEB. It is located about 2 miles away on Riverside Drive.
