4. Pets allowed per stay for a fee with pre-approval: 1-29 Nights: $75 per pet, 30+ Nights: $200 per pet

Stayed in Austin for 2 nights with friends. Overall communication with the hosts was quick and easy. Apartment pictures look as shown, however the reason for the 3 stars were for the following. As mentioned in other reviews there is a very strange smell when stepping into the apartment. It does not smell chemical but smells odd like possibly mildew. So much so that my clothes still smell of the place after unpacking. Opening the windows helped with the smell but does not help to air out the smell. Other items to note was the chipped bath tub floor and broken fridge handle. Other than these items the location was great, parking available, and apartment had everything we needed minus an air freshener.

Nice job one bedroom with comfy bed and good living area. Apartment has everything you need, coffee, spices, etc. I would stay again.

Quick Austin visit

The property is very clean and had everything I needed. I will probably be coming back to this one and I already recommended it to a friend who visits. Highly recommended picking this place. Had plenty of parking and it was in a great location.

Property had a really strange smell. Smelled like chlorine. Not sure why the owners haven’t done anything to fix this after multiple reviews have been left saying the same thing. The apartment has no lighting it is quite dark in the common area and bedroom. When we arrived, there was trash left near the front door and cleaning crew was leaving as we had pulled up to check in. Small details throughout the apartment was telling that the place wasn’t entirely clean or in the best condition.

Nice place to stay!

Overall a very nice place. There were many small touches that made our stay very nice. The host provided towels, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. My only complaint, if any, would be the apartment had a strong smell like a lot of air freshener was used. Perfect place for a little weekend trip.

We were in Austin to visit our daughter who has a one bedroom apartment and we were looking for some extra space. Upon entering, we were met with a very overwhelming musty smell. We decided with some air freshener that we could make it work. The next item was noticing that we had one towel, one bathmat, and one washcloth in the apartment. Once again, we decided to deal with it and borrow a set from our daughter. The third strike was at 10 pm when i went to get in the bed and there was absolutely no sheets under the comforter. There was just a mattress pad. I finally messaged the host for that about 10:30 pm. I did not receive any response until the next day about 7:30-8 am when they were very apologetic but did not take responsibility. They blamed their cleaning company and finally at about 11 am said that they were going to bring sheets and towels by. over 12 hours after being alerted. I never saw if they even brought sheets and towels as I had decided to sleep on an air mattress on my daughter's floor then spend anymore time there.

Strange Chemical Smell

We did not receive the physical address when the door code was texted. Why did this take an additional step?This is a good location for the plans we made, and the property is spacious. However, some issues cannot be overlooked.The property had a strong chemical smell. The next morning I found a plug in air freshener that had been working at the highest setting in a property that had been closed up tight. After unplugging the plug in, the smell got better but not great. When we arrived home, our suitcase had to be set outside to air out and lose the scent.The interior doors look to be water damaged at the bottom: rough and missing paint. The bathtub had been refinished, but the finish has broken apart near the drain.

I chose this place because of the great location and reasonable dog rates, and in that respect it didn’t disappoint. Just remember…you get what you pay for. Old apartment, cheaply updated, with cheap furniture (but a surprisingly comfy bed). Don’t expect hotel (or even motel) amenities - no blow dryer, iron, or lotion. And the kitchen is in no way set up for actual cooking or even basic food prep, so either bring your own spices, cookware, etc. or heat up leftovers. There’s no electric plug in the bathroom (weirdly) and no TV in the bedroom. Bottom line: a good base for exploring but NOT for hanging out and relaxing.

Good value for the money; convenient to UT North Campus

Unit is an updated apartment in an old but well kept building. Room was very nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. Communications with the property manager were a clumsy assortment of personal messages and boilerplate from some company. I found it offputting. This is the reason for four instead of five stars. I am used to much more personable and intelligible communications with property managers of VRBO properties.
