Fabulous place. Very quiet and private. Bright, clean and had all of the amenities we needed. Fully stocked kitchen with every small appliance needed. The hosts were awesome to communicate with, fast to respond and went out of their way to bring a new patio umbrella for us. We highly recommend a stay. The road in is gravel and bumpy but worth it for the privacy and peaceful rural South Shore experience. Bayswater beach is very close and stunning. Thanks Allan & Brook for a relaxing and wonderful vacation.

We loved this property! From the minute you walk in the door you know you’ve made the right choice. The view is spectacular and the home is so very comfortable. A lot of thought and love has gone into this property and it shows. The beds are super comfortable and the property is well equipped. The fact that it is pet friendly adds to its appeal. The hosts are friendly and easily reached should you have any questions. Sit back relax and enjoy!

The property was lovely from the great cabin to the gorgeous views … we wanted a place to get away and disconnect and the Beacon checked all of the boxes … all conveniences were at hand, we wanted for nothing, hand to think of nothing other than relaxing. We heard nothing but birds and waves and visited by rabbits and deers! So glad we found this hidden away gem.

Celebration of Life

On this occasion, we were in Nova Scotia for a family member’s Celebration of Life and decided to extend our visit by staying at the Beacon. It is a wonderful place, and we were very comfortable and especially enjoyed the ocean views. We also had a lovely family gathering, with a BBQ and dessert by the fire pit. The only drawback is the condition of the access road - hopefully for those who use it frequently it will be fixed! Thanks for everything!

Waking up to the smell and sound of the ocean every morning cannot be beat at The Beacon. A beautiful setting and a beautiful property. The hosts think of everything and you need for nothing. They are quick to respond with any questions and the property is in a great location to do day drives to just about anywhere so you really get to see Nova Scotia and still have time to enjoy some relaxation at The Beacon. We definitey checked out some of the local restauratns too, The Rope and Loft and The Seaside Shanty both did not disappoint. Even got some takeout at Alexandra's Pizza which was amazing. We would love to return one day, hopefully not to far away. Thank you Brooke & Alan! We had an amazing getaway!

Cozy cottage, the perfect place to relax and wind down. Has everything you need. Sit in a rocking chair on the deck and stare at the sun gleaming off the ocean while the seagulls fly by. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves through the open window. Amazing!
