Jerry and I are both from North Carolina. Jerry grew up in the foothills in Hickory and I grew up in Alamance County. We previously owned another rental that was located on the coast of North Carolina and we enjoyed hosting guests from all over the country. We moved inland a few years ago to get away from the harsh realities of hurricane season and settled here in Milton, North Carolina after retiring to be closer to family.

Creekside Hideaway is located on an historic property, formerly known as the Gillespie property. Sadly, one of the previous owners demolished the historic1800's home to build the current house. The property still has an1840's barn and corn crib and it is located on what was a major route into town across Country Line Creek. You can still see the rock base of the old bridge that came across the creek onto this property. We chose this property for the convenience of being close to town, but yet it is very secluded. We love watching the deer, fox and turkeys which roam our property. Milton, North Carolina is known as a "museum without walls." Most of the buildings in downtown are historic and date back to the early to late 1800's.
