This was a perfect place for our large family. All the activities at the campground were great, from tie dying shirts to learning how to play shuffle board there was something for everyone! The beach access is so close it’s a 2 minute walk straight from the house. We absolutely enjoyed everything about this house and campground, our family would highly recommend it!

Great beach house

Great location! House was very clean and arrival was easy. A little hard to park late evening because they shut down the main road for golf carts but great place to sit and watch them cruise the road. My family and I will stay there again.

Fun friends and family getaway

Great beach access and plenty to do for everyone from little kids to adults. Tip: Be mindful of the nightly golf cart parade and familiarize yourself with the back way in to the property using the south entrance to avoid the parade traffic. Our kids loved the parade and high-fives as golf carts passed. Overall, a fun vacation experience with ease for the parents based on the stocked house, prompt owner communication and access to resort-like amenities. We would stay again!

Amazing Vacation Home

We had a wonderful stay in this home. It was fully stocked to more than we had expected. Every kitchen item we needed was there. The location is fantastic, right across from the playground and has unobstructed views of the beach. Our family enjoyed the deck, the swings below and the fire pit. I would highly recommend this location and we would look forward to returning again soon.

Thanksgiving getaway

We decided to go away for thanksgiving since it was our first family thanksgiving without our parents. The home was beautiful and welcoming and in the perfect location. The owner was very responsive and addressed all our questions in a timely manner. We think this might be the start of a new tradition for our family. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home!

The house was clean and well-stocked. I had emailed the owner before arrival regarding the grill and propane availability. We are a party of 8 adults (2 each from CO, CA & WA-they travelled a long way to see the Grand Strand) and our plan was to grill every night for dinners, which we brought it with us: chicken, steak, etc. Got there the first night and the upstairs grill was broken (and was never fixed during our stay) and the downstairs grill was so corroded my husband could not get it hot enough to cook anything. We ordered two crappy pizzas the first night after contacting the owner who could not help: not a great first meal with my company. My budget did not include restaurants for 4 nights with 8 ppl, esp since I asked about it in advance.In addition, the signs "Please don't use the bedspread" was a bit off-putting. It's a beach house rental. Don't have things you don't want used, in it. Also, for the amount of money we paid, the parking should have been included. We parked under the house and not in public spaces. I understand that that's the campground's policy, but that should be covered by the owner and included in the overall charge.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us at Ocean Lakes A9. We’re glad to hear you found the home clean and well stocked. Regarding the grill, we want to clarify for future guests that we responded immediately upon being contacted the first evening. Our grill inspector/cleaner was sent out right away, confirmed the propane tank was low, refilled it on the spot, lit the grill, and demonstrated that it was working properly. The grill was operational at that time, and we were surprised to hear it was not used again during the remainder of the stay. We always make every effort to address concerns promptly, and we did so in this situation to ensure our guests could enjoy their planned meals. As for the bedspread signage, it is simply a protective measure to keep decorative items clean between professional cleanings, which is common in many vacation rentals. Regarding parking, Ocean Lakes Family Campground requires parking passes for all vehicles throughout the campground. This policy is set by Ocean Lakes, not individual owners, and applies regardless of whether vehicles are parked under a home or elsewhere. These fees are clearly outlined in the listing so guests can plan accordingly. We truly strive to provide a positive experience for all of our guests and appreciate feedback that helps future visitors understand both the home and the campground policies. The host was incredibly responsive and so friendly—made the entire stay smooth and stress-free. The house is clean , beautifully kept, and a great location to all the amenities at ocean lakes. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had an amazing spring break at Ocean Lakes. The house was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. The views are amazing and the campground was super fun for the whole family. Would definitely go back!
