We booked this house for a family vacation in Boston. The house is absolutely beautiful and it is in a great location. It is convenient to public transportation to go to the harbor area or other touristy sites, and there are numerous restaurants, shops, parks and stuff to do in the neighborhood. We had our three dogs with us, and it was great. Most restaurants in the area are dog friendly and there is a dog park nearby. The house has a super nice private patio in the back and we very much enjoyed it.
Our hosts were very flexible with complex international travel arrangements, and provided all kinds of help moving us in, navigating the neighborhood and helped us feel comfortable.
On the not so good side of things, it is impossible to park in the neighborhood. It is all resident parking and very limited 2-hour parking. Our hosts suggested parking in a nearby elementary school, because we were there in the middle of the summer school vacation... of course, that may not be possible at other times of the year.
Another thing that may or may not be important to you is the stairs... the house is in 3 floors, which makes it very cool and charming, but the stairs can be considered "steep". The master bedroom, which is frankly luxurious, is in the 3rd floor. We wanted our parents to stay in the master bedroom as they were celebrating their 50th anniversary, but they decided against it to avoid any potential accident.
All in all though... AWESOME!
