We built the home to capture the fantastic westward sunset views and provide a place for family and friends to comfortably gather together. This is also a place where you can escape the rigors of daily routines and enjoy raw beauty, soak in the fantastic views, and is centrally located for visits to the popular spots in the area (historic Route 66 in Williams, the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona and more).
Although all of the rooms are large, we wanted to make the home feel cozy, so we added custom rustic touches throughout the house. Our favorite features in the living area are the stone fireplace, built-in bookcase, and reclaimed wood accents.
To bring character to the modern kitchen, we added a custom-built stove hood, reclaimed light fixtures, and a 10' long antique oak table reclaimed from an old church that we now use as an island for cooking preparation or just simply to gather around.
We added an old-fashioned reclaimed claw foot tub into the guest bathroom, and decorated with a touch of old country French.
The master bedroom includes a fireplace accented with reclaimed tile and wood. Wood moldings, wood windows, solid wood doors, and wood floors throughout the house add to the cozy charm that we wanted to achieve.
There are fireplaces in the living and master bedroom to make it cozy during winter months and a fire pit outside on the lower patio to gather around and star gaze (outdoor fire restrictions may apply during dry season).
