We were met upon arrival by one of the owners. Very nice lady, she gave good information about the area, including places to eat, grocery shopping etc.
The apartment was very clean and had a good supply of towels, clean bedding. We were even provided with the basics. Bread, jam, butter, tea and coffee and milk. Even a couple of beers to toast the beginning of our vacation.
The subway station is only about a 10 minute walk away. It is on the central line, and gets you into central London in about 20 minutes. It seemed to be a safe neighborhood to walk from the subway station back to the apartment at night.
The local large supermarket is about a mile and a half away. Driving to it was tough, due to the crazy multiple lane roundabout at Hangar Lane. If you are inexperienced at driving in a major city on the left hand side, forget the car. On that note when we made our booking it said that parking was included. We found out about 2 weeks before that this is not the case, you have to pay 30 pounds. We booked the apartment 9 months in advance and took into account the cost of renting a car, and just parking it up for the length of our stay versus catching the tube from the airport. The extra 30 pound surprise made our math off. I would suggest clearer clarification in the Ad about costs for parking.
The apartment rooms were good size, 2 bedrooms, plenty of room for four. There are 2 toilets, which is useful and a shower stall. No water issues, nice and hot. Apparently the sofa bed in the living room is broken, so if you are planning on using that, don't.
Some of the windows did not open or were difficult to close because they are old, wooden and rotten. In the summer you have to open up the windows, so the bedroom with single beds got very hot. It was unusually hot though, so this normally would not be an issue.
We would absolutely stay in this apartment again, especially due to its price compared to its convenient location. Thanks for a great stay.
