Dear April,Thank you for your review and I am sorry there were negatives along with the positives in your review from your experience in The Loft despite our daily interaction. In a house in excess of 2000 sq ft, of 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a terrace with hot tub, outside areas, living room, small gym area, all in white, white floors, white sofas, white linen etc. , you allege that the kitchen was dirty. Should it have come to your or mine attention that any area or item required attention during your stay, the cleaning personnel or myself would have immediately rectified the situation during the daily servicing or anytime if needed, but you never made a comment during your stay or during the time we spent together during the tour. The registration card filled out after your inspection of the Loft and acceptance of the property states clearly that there were no comments needed or misrepresentation. You also mentioned that there was a smell of primer or chemicals. Regarding the primer or chemicals in the bathrooms, I hope you are referring to paint primer and not combustion primer, which I assure you there was none. In our unfortunate and troubling covid times we use the certified Dettol brand , manufacturer of Lysol as well, its active ingredient is an antiseptic and disinfectant which is used for skin disinfection, and together with alcohol for cleaning surgical instruments. and much less toxic to humans and much more expensive than other chemicals offered to the hospitality industry. The smell comes from the point of application in the toilet basins where in reaction to the water causes an emulsion reaction much like the greek alcoholic drink ouzo, which was complimentary offered in the Loft. I am sorry that our commitment to cleaning quality with certified chemicals as well as the disinfection of the hot tub which is with liquid oxygen instead of the many times cheaper chlorine that you can smell elsewhere, was not appreciated. I am also sorry on the subject of smell, that our top brand scent diffusers in all areas from Jo Malone were not noticed, out top quality beds from Hastens and Duxiana were not mentioned, top quality toiletries and linen, the view from the balcony towards the sunset, the special soundsystem, Miele stovetop, Illy espresso machine did not show our attention to detail. The audio equipment that may have seemed as clutter is there for the guests pleasure, they are extensive and much more than a bluetooth speaker. Same applies for the audio mixer, and the bottles next to it, the robotic disco lights and fixtures to create a party atmosphere referring to a bar. In all fairness, the area with the free weights, the amazing Ski Erg from Concept 2 , yoga mats, workout rubber bands , abs mat , medicine ball etc. does seem cluttered.Lastly regarding breakfast it should be noted that serving breakfast in home rental properties in Greece for everyone and especially for our properties run by a company and the insurance and services assosiated that, require a food and beverage licence which is not economically feasible in a house. We counter that by the numerous complimentary items in the fridge which were in your case 3 bottles of sparkling wine, soft drinks, bottled water for all days as water is not potable in Mykonos, welcome fruit, biscuits, illy espresso, ouzo and Masticha. The Loft is in the old Mykonos town, the bakery 30 ft from the back door, same for the mini market and many other restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and some restaurants will also deliver to the Loft's doorstep.
