The home is located on German Lake. Great for fishing, boating, waterskiing, canoeing, water slide, yard games, camp fires, and nearby bike trails! You're welcome to bring your own watercraft.

We had a wonderful stay! Our host replied quickly when we had a question. The house was stocked with everything we needed and even had a Christmas Tree so we didn’t need to unbox ours that we brought along.

Relaxing southern Minnesota getaway!!

The house was clean, warm and exactly how it was described and Kyle the host was great at communicating and easy to work with. The fishing on German lake was great also!!

Fun family times

Property was inviting with a beautiful view! It was clean and well cared for, but we did not find a home manual with ideas for the area or how to leave the house at check out. And the AC works fantastic!

The property is not well kept outdoors. There were dirty, dusty kayaks thrown to one side, a weedy and unattractive lawn. No plants or flowers. An old rusty grill sat near the deck, which was badly in need of staining. The steps to the lake needed more railings. The shallow water was so rocky we could hardly walk. No ice maker, no hair dryer, no iron. If it is listed on the amenities, it needs to be there. The freezer on the bottom of the frig would not shut due to buildup of ice, then leaked on the floor. The lighting in the kitchen was filthy. The main floor bathroom had shower doors that didn’t meet so water shot out all over the bathroom. Half the outlets didn’t work. We didn’t pay this money to come and clean the items in order to use them. The bathroom needed cleaning in the corners. The place is cute and spacious but much TLC is needed. This person is out to collect your without maintaining or cleaning the place.

We wish these items had been brought to our attention during your stay (via message or a quick call). We respond very quickly and are always ready to address issues right away — whether it’s a maintenance fix, extra cleaning, or supplying missing amenities. That way we can turn things around while guests are still enjoying their vacation. We’ve already prioritized repairs and updates based on your notes: adding railings on the lake steps, fixing outlets, deep cleaning (including kitchen lighting and bathrooms), defrosting/maintaining the freezer, refreshing the outdoor areas (lawn, deck staining, kayaks, grill), and verifying all listed amenities. The shower doors will also be adjusted. We want every guest to have a smooth, enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive. Thanks again for the feedback, and we hope you’ll consider staying with us again after these improvements. Best regards Kyle Ps the deck was just stained. So a little Confused on that one? The iron was in the laundry room downstairs? I had an iron and two blow dryers delivered with in 1 hr of you notifying me. Sorry that wasn’t fast enough for you. And you need to close the door all the way on the freezer like explained to you otherwise the ice builds up.

Family Vacation

We had a great time and enjoyed being right in the lake. It was disappointing that some of the amenities listed didn’t match our experience (basement bedroom is a full, not a queen bed; no high chair; no kayak).

We enjoyed a night away at the lake home. The deck and grille are great. Starlink is much quicker than our home internet. game room is nice. we would stay again.

We were looking for a lake cabin with comfortable spaces inside, a good outside deck and a lake that allowed us to do some boating and fishing! Family Adventures was a great fit to do all those things!Kyle is a great host! He answered all our questions ahead of time and was very accommodating to our wishes, like bringing an extra 50# bag of pellets for the smoker. The fishing boat was awesome and very easy to operate! Plenty of room at the dock to bring our boat up and still fish or play right from the dock! Loved the large capacity washer and dryer, and the huge hot water heater. Yet, it still felt very cabiny! A great place!

The owner was quick to reply to inquiries and easy to work with. The kitchen was well stocked, including lots of different spices, and there was a variety of games that the kids enjoyed playing. There was a lot of spiders/webs in the basement. We bought some spider spray and sprayed the area to get rid of them.

For the price I paid thought it could have been better kept up. Needs new windows and had ants a ton of spiders. Dishwasher was out but he did respond that he would come take a look at it the next day. Only stayed three nights just washed dishes by hand.

Looked great on line, outside was a mess, completely out of character with nearby homes/cabins. Dishwasher did not work at all, supplies not in logical locations and not listed in the book with other details. There were a ton of flys, but no flyswatter! We had a great time on the water but outside/deck area and siding had a lot dead bugs and stains on siding, also had a ton of cobwebs and was not inviting.

This property is not what it seems. We arrived and the lawn was overgrown, weeds everywhere. The deck was covered in tree debris and parts of the deck and front door landing were sagging in areas. Once inside, you could see bugs hanging from spider webs in the kitchen, remnants of smashed bugs all over the ceiling. Opened the cabinets to find more bugs and dirt with the cookware. The kitchen stove was covered in food and grease. We contacted VRBO and the host was unresponsive to them. We asked for a refund and the host refused and also did not offer to resolve the uncleanliness and unsanitary issues. A neighbor pulled up while when we got there and told us he does not take care of the property. These are all RED flags . He preys on the trust of good people and then steals their money. Watch yourself. Don’t forget people talk in a small town.

When you rent a cabin on a lake, you do need to expect a rustic experience. While the inside was clean and well represented, the deck, deck furniture, grill, landscaping and railing to the dock appeared to have been neglected for some time. Many spiders and spider webs everywhere, making it uncomfortable to sit outside without cleaning first.We enjoyed our stay, however I do feel that the price paid did not reflect the cabin we received. I have booked rentals all over the world and have always been pleased with the stays. I will reconsider booking with Vrbo in the future.

Host was prompt in communication. Curb appeal was marginal. Certainly could use some landscaping and lawn care. The fishing was great. Access to life vests for all sizes was helpful. 5 adults and 2 children vacationed here and there was plenty of room for all. Downstairs bedroom has a full bed, not queen.
