First time vacationing on LBI

There are many great things! We never stayed on LBI before so we didn't know the area well when choosing a house. We had a few requirements- minimum 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, pet friendly, parking for at least 3 vehicles. This house is all that and was as lovely as advertised! The kitchen is well stocked! It comes with beach chairs/umbrellas. The house is a nice location- it is a half block from the bay and about a block and half to beach. We found the beach experience to be slightly more troublesome than we would have liked but only slightly! The actual beach (once you leave the road) is a bit of a distance that you need to walk or you can take a shuttle. We found going onto the beach one block over (9th) was a shorter walk onto the beach and only a total 10 minute walk from the house. We really enjoyed our lighthouse visit and sunsets at the bay. We drove to Beach Haven for dinner one night and for shopping. Wally's has a vegan menu for anyone looking for vegan choices. (It's BYOB). My kids (in their 20's) expressed that they would probably like to be closer to more night life. For first timers, get reservations for stuff early whether it's dinner or water activities. Another thing I really liked about the house was the front deck area. We spent a lot of time hanging out there. The property owner was very accessible. We did have some difficulty working the TVs in the bedrooms so if you do, reach out to him! Would definitely recommend!

Casual living

First time staying in this house for our annual LBI holiday… Lots of positives … Big front and small back deck. Well stocked kitchen. Great grill. Good Wi-Fi. New tv in all rooms. Around the corner from both the dog run, Mustache Bill, lighthouse, and so much more. Only negatives… furniture is tired. Kitchen (cabinets) could use a screwdriver. And outdoor shower needs a power wash. Only complaint… previous guests left dirty (crusty) dishes in the dishwasher.

Pet friendly home close to the bay and short walk to the beach

We were thrilled to have found a home that allowed dogs especially since a beach vacation wasn't in our summer plans until late spring. Overall, the home is great. Very open and spacious, it's a short walk to the bay and beach. The kitchen is very well equipped and and a wonderful focal point of the home. The three bedrooms are plenty big and the beds comfortable. Our only issue other than the furniture being old and tired is that the bathrooms and kitchen should have been much cleaner. Walking into a rental home and immediately having to clean it is really unacceptable especially since this was a lot of money for a weeks' stay. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There are more positive points to this home over negative ones.

we had a great week, this location was excellent and within walking distance to everything in barnegat light. the owner was easy to contact if needed and the ouse very cozy and comfortable.

Barnegat Light 20 West 8th St.

The property was beautiful and the kitchen was spectacularly well equipped. The interiors had lovely design as well. and It's a few minutes to the beach and the bay. We had warm weather in early October and enjoyed many beautiful sunsets. Wifi and TV also easy to use and much appreciated. We all hope to come back soon.

Great location.

Great location and perfect for our family of 4. I did have an issue with the smart TV but Joe told me how to fix it. I had also one small issue with the instructions not coming through on the VRBO website.

Lovely Week at Barnegat Light

We are a family of four- two college kids, my husband and I. We all loved staying at Joe's home, as it is spacious and airy with lots of windows, a tall cathedral style ceiling with fans for the living room/kitchen/dining room, and a wide open deck in the front. We all loved the outdoor shower and except for the last night which was windy and rainy, we showered most days there. The kitchen was well-equipped and if we had any questions, the host was easily accessible. The beds- all queen size- were comfortable and all rooms have ceiling fans in case the rooms feel too warm. We went right before Memorial Day so many shops were still closed, but we nonetheless rented bikes from nearby Dream Makers and enjoyed biking through the quiet streets by the bay. The beach is only one and half blocks away- and while we ended up going further up to 18th Street entrance as the beach is much wider, things are so easy to access on this part of the island- it only was a few minutes away by bike. I love Barnegat Light as it remains more pristine, less populated, and less commercial than other areas on LBI. Would love to return to this home and this part of the island in the future.

Peaceful vacation

Our family ( & our dog Oliver) enjoyed the peace & quiet of Barnagat Light. Our granddaughter enjoyed the walk to the beach & all the shells she collected. Joseph was very easy to talk to & his home is beautiful. Great place to stay if you own a boat or enjoy fishing.

A Week at the Jersey Shore

This property is perfect for a family with a baby and a dog. It is childproof and safe. Also nicely appointed with every kitchen utensil we needed. We walked to the beach at the end of the street, enjoyed the boardwalk to the trolley which took us the rest of the way through the dunes to a white sandy beach with life guards. After dinner, sometimes at great local restaurants, we walked to the ice cream parlor within a block. Delightful. Owner helpful and responsive. Great choice.

Spacious and clean house in a great neighborhood

First of all, Barnegat Light is a new favorite neighborhood for me now in LBI. The house is in prime location, 1 block from the marina and a couple of blocks from the beach. There are a few restaurants and a deli walking distance, and the lighthouse and park around it are a short 5 minute walk. The house itself is roomy and clean, with 2 lovely decks and even beach chairs provided. Our kids enjoyed it too. The only issue for me was the tall staircase leading up to the front door, which was difficult for our elderly dog to navigate, but that was minor enough, I would just call it out to anyone who may have mobility issues. Linda and Joe were lovely to deal with, very helpful, and prompt in communication. Will definitely look to rent this house again.

Great Memorial Day Weekend!

Winter Visit

We rented this house for Thanksgiving week and it was a true pleasure. The house has an updated kitchen which we used to cook family meals, is close to the Bay and not far from the Ocean. My children and my husband and I truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be renting again!
