There was a strong odor of mildew and the house was damp inside. Bedding had an odor. Pillows were flat. Paint is chipped off the walls. Things seemed worn out and old, shabby but not in a chic way.The owner was responsive to us and we appreciated her service. But I can't recommend this place.

When we arrived there was a bad smell in the entire cabin. We bought some glade pull-ins but still the order was present. We felt it might be coming from the carpet or the furniture. I advised Robin by text and she said they have had a lot of rain and the musty smell would go away. It did not. All the appliances were outdated. We asked about an outdoor grill but no response. The outside deck was in desperate need of repair. We were so disappointed that we had to look for another cabin for our remaining time. We paid for the month but left after 2 weeks.

Great private location which conveniently near the charming town of Blairsville.

A very comfortable house with everything you need to relax after a day out exploring. The deck is a plus to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening . Quiet neighborhood where I enjoyed a morning walk. Host Robin was very accommodating when I made a request to check in before 4 pm. I hope to return next time I am in Blairsville.

Secluded yet very accessible

We were in town for a family function and this property couldn't not have been more perfect. You feel very secluded because you are in a wooded neighborhood but it is very easy to find and roads are easy to navigate. A big plus .. you can be in town with just a 10 minute or so drive. Try to visit The Sawmill Place for breakfast if you can ... the food is delicious and staff are so nice. There's a little bit of a wait but worth it. You can rock on the front porch while you wait. The town is charming and the area is beautiful. Take some time for sight seeing if you can. You won't regret it. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

We were in town for a short visit to see some of our family. The cabin was perfect for us. Would stay there again!

A cozy retreat

We had a great stay, and the host was excellent. She went over and above to accommodate our needs. Our dogs loved the fenced area attached to the front porch! The deer even came by to tell us hello!

Such a cute house!

We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the comfort & coziness of this house! A big pet peeve in VRBOs for us is when the furniture is just not comfortable- happy to say that the couch and recliner were both great! After touring around all day it was great to come home to Redbird Retreat. We also really appreciated the small fenced dog area. We would definitely stay there again!

Home was clean and neat, however the refrigerator really needs to be replaced. It made the kitchen look run down. Overall an okay experience.

Awesome!

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Redbird Retreat. The bed was great - not to hard not to soft. We cooked a few meals and found everything we needed right there. We spent several enjoyable evenings in front of the fireplace. The property manager was kind enough to arrange for some firewood. The deck was perfect for coffee in the morning. 5 stars all around! Thanks!

Short get away from everyday stress

We were very pleased with the Redbird Retreat. Nice neighborhood fairly quiet (neighbors have dogs), the house was clean and comfortable. Check in and out was very easy. We would love to come back when we can stay longer.

TV's

TV's did not work, no instructions on how to operate. This is about TV's over fireplace. GPS had had time getting us to and from cabin to make it to the wedding. The amount of time we were there it was a nice place, if the TV had been working.

Cabin in the Mountains

Perfect little getaway cabin for a few days. Located perfectly to all we wanted to see. Great amenities, perfect pet place. We will book again.

We both live and work in the Atlanta area and have for many years. Each of us own our own "retreat" in Blairsville and spend many weekends and holidays. Through the years our family and friends have grown to love the area as much as we do. When the opportunity came up, we bought Redbird Retreat so we can now share the loveliness of the area with everyone.
We hope you love it as much as we do!

There are so many things to see and do in the North GA Mountains and all year round. Lots of festivals and events, beautiful lakes, parks and waterfalls. A lot of walking trails, wonderful places to eat and close to the new Harrah Casino in Murphy, NC. Redbird Retreat is close to it all!
