There was too much noise and activity from the host. The trailer they stay in is only about 50 feet from the house we stayed in. I was woken from a nap by honking, taking a walk I had to turn around, there was someone there I didn't know. The house is great. The proximity to the host is regrettable.

Very Nice

Have to agree with the reviewer that mentioned photos do not do justice to this home. The home is well kept and very clean. When we were there the area was having warmer than average temps, but we stayed comfortable at night with the windows open. We were in Ouray much of the time for a family wedding and many festivities associated with that. Thus, enjoyed the views and the peace and quiet when we were back at Log Hill. The host was very nice—absolutely 0 complaints. I would rent again if available

Stunning views, great property!

We loved our stay. The house is spacious and comfortable. I wandered around for hours admiring all of the quilting and weaving art in the home - not something you see much in vacation rentals. More than well equipped, and the host was super helpful but gave us space. Will return without hesitation.

Beautiful home and location

Our family had a wedding close by so we booked this location. I will say the home was beautiful and very spacious and the views were incredible. The hosts did and excellent job with communication and answering questions. Highly recommend.

Mountain Getaway

We stayed here with some friends. Lovely home with everything that you would need. Quiet, peaceful, Mountain View’s and abundant wildlife. A bit off of the beaten path but that was just what we were looking for!

Very nice

The house was very nice and well stocked. Great lot with lots of room. We enjoyed the house very much. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely amazing stay!

Myself and 4 friends went up to Ouray for a weekend roadtrip and had an absolutely wonderful stay here! Everything was clean and setup when we arrived, and although a bit later in the evening, when we arrived Laurie came to introduce herself and made sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and cleaning and the location was wonderful! We loved being a little outside of town and had a blast looking at the stars at night! We were able to see a Mama deer and her fawns in the morning, and when checking out we had a lovely time chatting with Laurie and getting to hear about her quilting experience and her fantastic stories. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back for another! Thank you Laurie!!:)

Spotlessly clean and well-appointed

This property is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The views and location are terrific provided you are looking for something out in the country and somewhat isolated, exactly as the host describes. Communication with the host was excellent. Just be sure you are willing to be a 20 - 30 drive from facilities and amenities. on (very good) gravel roads, and you might well love this place.

Beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful home and wonderful host. This property was clean and very nice. The host was very responsive to our questions and helpful when checking in. We have a family of 5 and there was plenty of room. Although there is no a/c the home stayed comfortable throughout the day. This property had plenty of parking and accommodated our 4wheeler trailer.

A Clean well kept hidden gem. Comfy and cozy... A fan in each room and the temp in the house was fine even though there was no air conditioning.. The Host went above and beyond to assist us when our car broke down... Thank YOU. We would highly recommend this home away from home ☺️

Wonderful Stay in a Wonderful Place

Property was lovely and just as advertsed. Pleasantly isolated and very quiet yet conveniently close to both Montrose and Ridgeway for anything needed. Ouray was just down the road too and easy access to the Million Dollar Highway. The house was wonderful and well equipped and our host was just the most wonderful person; knowledgeable, friendly and warm hearted. She was very rapid to take care of anything we needed and a delight to talk to. Will stay there again and very much look forward to that.

Perfect!

Clean home. Beautiful interior! As owner states there is no air conditioning. As we were there in the heat of July, we closed the curtains during the day to keep the sun out and then opened the windows in the evening to keep cool and used fans. This worked just fine. We were gone most of the day during our stay, so it was perfect for us. Beautiful views! Host was accessible and even alerted us to a fawn that was recently born in the backyard that we got to see. Would stay again! Thank you!

Cute property with great view of the San Juan mountains.

We stayed 2 nights. Clean place and with the host staying in her camper on the property she was very responsive with anything you would need. Beautiful home with a great view for sunrises, 20-30 mins from montrose and Ouray. Would stay here again.

perfect spot to access activities along the Million dollar Highway

Beautiful property a little off the main highway. Don't let the standard exterior fool you. It's roomy and nicely decorated inside. The views out of the living room and upper floor bedrooms are amazing, just as shown in the host's photos. Large kitchen with all appliances, dishes and cookware. upstairs bedrooms big and breezy with those views mentioned earlier. Convenient to kayaking at Ridgeway SP, Ouray, ATVing at Yankee Boy Basin. Visiting the Ute Museum in South Montrose. Circular driveway made it easy for trailers and plenty of room for parking.

Perfect Location, Beautiful Home

This beautiful home filled every need we had for lodging, as we were in town for our son's wedding nearby. The well-appointed kitchen came in very handy for preparing wedding food, and cooking breakfast for the family that gathered with us. The beds were very comfy, and we enjoyed many hours of visiting around the breakfast bar in the kitchen. The time is decorated with beautiful artwork and woven rugs. I really enjoyed the stay! I highly recommend....

Wonderful country living!

For city folks like us, this place gave us the proper introduction to the beautiful Colorado country side. Lauri, the host, was just very helpful and responsive. I plan to come back again in the near future with my son and his family.

I moved to Colorado in 1997 from Florida and built this house in 2001. I have a horse and love to ride the high mountain trails and am happy to tell you my favorite ones.I am a weaver and a quilter and show my work thru out the house.

We are perfectly located between Montrose and Ridgway in a quiet, country setting on Log Hill Mesa with fantastic views of the San Juans and Cimarron Mountains. Convenient to Montrose,affordable shopping, skate park, fitness center, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park . Ridgway and Ouray Hot Springs, hiking, jeeping, fishing, Ridgway State Park and Resevoir, restaurants, Skatepark. Lots of wildlife viewing.
