The cottage is new with privacy and land located between RIDGWAY and MONTROSE COLORADO
(11 miles to RIDGWAY 18 miles to MONTROSE). One hour to Telluride.
Located in Ouray county on the Uncompahgre plateau. so many activities within the area several Hot Springs in your Ray Ridgway has lots of activities music in the park. Of course you have the black Canyon Silverton and Telluride to explore…. so many local activities within the area several Hot Springs in ouray ….Ridgway has lots of activities music in the park, shopping, art district. Of course you have the black Canyon, Silverton, and Telluride, to explore as well. Beautiful sunsets, beautiful darkness to see the stars at night next to the Chimenea.
Roughly 500 square-foot studio with private bathroom …queen size bed … portable full-size Japanese futon mattress…. Portable crib/play pen….couch …table and chairs… Streaming TV …propane Vermont casting woodstove …outdoor grill….
Kitchen has two burner cooktop refrigerator coffee maker coffee tea water creamer all utensils….40 acres of hiking trails….. A horse farm along with a petting zoo …. goats chickens ducks a pet pig a pet turkey and pet geese
Privacy in the mountains
Lots of local activities in the area
NO Pet fees
NO minimum stay
NO additional guest fees. Fully stocked kitchen. Extra fridge and freezer and washer and dryer located in the barn
Dogs must be leashed at all times due to abundant wildlife and my horses. If your dogs are to be left unattended in the cabin they must be crated…. unfortunately, I needed to make this decision because just recently a Guest’s dog with separation anxiety broke through the window, gouged my antique door, chewed a comforter, scratched the floor, etc., etc., and busted out
Communication is important when bringing your dogs so that we can chat back-and-forth so my dogs aren’t out when your dogs are out
Happy to help in any way I can. I also have a few dog crates available if necessary.

Diana’s cabin, located between Ridgway and Montrose, was peaceful and quiet. The size was great for the two of us and our small dog. Diana was very responsive to our questions, loaned us her folding chairs, and was easy to communicate with. We would definitely consider staying at this location again in the future.

We spent a week at Red Pony Cabin located among the beautiful western Colorado mountains near Ridgway. The hostess was charming and helpful. The cabin was well stocked with linens and kitchen items. A good place to be away from the Texas heat. Until next time, hasta la vista.

Place was perfect for what we needed! Beautiful location. Walking trails were great to stretch the legs. The petting zoo was a perfect addition! Host was welcoming and super personable! Would recommend and stay again if in the area!

The host is very communicative and friendly. The cottage is cozy, clean, and well-equipped. We enjoyed visiting with her dogs and farm animals, as well as the remote location. The drive to Ouray, Ridgway, and Montrose are fairly quick and easy - there is a windy uphill and some dirt road from the highway to the cottage but the roads are well-maintained with very light traffic.

This cabin checked all the boxes for me. It was secluded, private and super easy to unload my stuff as there is a parking spot ten steps from the entry.Sitting on the porch at sunset, looking at the sky and listening to nothing more than the sounds of birds each of my three evenings there was meditative and peaceful.Wish I could have stayed longer..

Great Spot!!

We had a great stay! The cabin was chic, cozy, clean and comfortable with everything we needed on hand. The location was beautiful and the goats were so cute and friendly! Diana was unobtrusive and yet great fun to talk to while she introduced us to her petting zoo critters! Recommend this spot for sure!

Wonderful getaway!

Diana is a wonderful hostess and her cottage is charming. The location is on the plateau near Ridgway & Montrose. It's secluded yet convenient. I heartily recommend it.

Great cabin, great location!

The perfect cabin when a quiet getaway is needed. I loved that it's off the beaten path and the petting zoo is a super cool extra. The owner is onsite and easily reachable if necessary. I can't recommend this place enough. Very easy and scenic drive to Ridgway and Ouray as well.

Montrose Cabin

Able to eat most our meals there & close to all the hiking & exploring we wanted to do. Quiet nights except coyotes howling in the distance. Diana was great to work with.

Nature Lover’s Dream

Super clean and comfortable. Starry night skies surrounded by nature. Host went above and beyond helping us have a wonderful stay. Short drive to Ouray, Ridgeway and Montrose. We’ll be back.

Charming cottage with stunning views

Cute cottage with awesome views of the San Juan Mountains—uncompahgre peak, Sneffels, etc. Eight horses, ducks, goats, a pig in the petting zoo. Host Diana was a delight to work with. We knew the location so brought food rather than drive into Montrose or Ridgway for meals. Hope to get back for a Fall leaf season visit in Ouray County.

Absolutely Gorgeous

Really enjoyed this part of Colorado. The property has gorgeously views. Stars galore at night!! It’s a little out of the way from places but I think that is part of the charm. Diane was only a text away. Friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay there again!!

Secluded mountain getaway

The property is quaint. It is very secluded and it takes 30 minutes to get to Rigeway. The property is clean and looks just like the photos. You can sleep with the windows open in summer and we would definitely recommend this property!

Just a little peace and quiet

This was exactly what me and my girls needed. The cabin was exactly what you see. The cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway or just some good family time.. We roasted marshmallows and enjoyed the petting zoo. We will be going back and staying as long as we can! Diana is an amazing host! If you need anything or don't want to be bothered she is understanding.

Perfect. Far away yet close enough.

The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and had all the essentials. We were far away from the crowds, yet close to everything. Ridgway in one direction and Montrose in the other. The property is a great location because you’re close to Ridgway and you’re close to montrose………. you’re close to so many mountains and parks and ski areas there is a vast number of activities for everyone to enjoy!
The property is on a private road on a private farm of 40 acres
We have trails petting zoo horses and dogs

I think it’s unique because it feels so private and you can see the stars at night…… it’s a dead-end private dirt road
you feel like you’re really away from things but you’re just 25 minutes to an airport or a Walmart
45 minutes to Telluride
30 minutes to Ouray
20 minutes to Ridgway
