Filthy and vacation ruining experiance
My vacation was somewhat ruined by the fact that this rental was turned over to us in a very disgusting and unsanitary condition. The house had not been cleaned in what I would guess was months. There was a filthy mess in the showers, toilets, opened food in the fridge, freezer and cabinets. The towels left for us to dry off with were stained and dirty. There were no blankets in the upstairs rooms and no sheets for the downstairs bed. There was no toilet paper. The remotes did not work. The ac downstairs did not work very well and made awful noises. The house was disgusting! We did not sleep the night we got there. This left me frantically searching last minute for an additional place to stay as we could not stay in this place. The renter did end up refunding my rental money but in no way does it fix the mess it created for my vacation, nor does it make up for the additional cost of a last-minute place to stay nor give us back the time we lost with this place. I hope the situation is taken care of as the host claimed to not know the state the unit was in as I'd hate for anyone else to endure the filth we did.
