An absolutely amazing experience with an extremely helpful host to help make your stay the easiest and most relxed possible. Our family fell in love with the beautiful house and the breathtaking scenery to go with it. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely save this home for the future.

Our Favorite Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is magic. My family has stayed at Whale Rock twice now and we can't say enough amazing things about it. It is the perfect, relaxing getaway. The view is almost unbelievable in person and the house is so cozy - the perfect vibe for the atmosphere. The beds are also incredibly comfortable which is so rare in a vacation rental. We're already planning our next visit and can't wait to keep coming back for years to come!

Wonderful time at the Ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love this house, have been coming to it for over 23 years. There were a few surprises, there were rat droppings in the garage and one of my friends saw a rat on the kitchen counter in the middle of the night getting in to food. The shower head in the master bath is very old, and it comes out so strong it actually hurts, just need a new one. Like I said, we love it and enjoy our time very much!

So great

This was our daily: Morning coffee on the deck. Dog walks on the beach twice a day. Early dinners in Mendocino a half hour away. Back at the house for hot tub sunset.

House and location are fantastic!

Too many superlatives to list about the house but the highlights are spectacular location right on the ocean, very comfortable living room, beds are great, the most movie dvds I have ever seen in a private home, excellent large screen tv and fully stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Decor cute but a little outdated. Property was clean. Ants were present. Better lighting in master closet is needed. Some windows in bedrooms need screen. Cobwebs here and there were creepy. Playing ping pong table was fun. Megan at Mendo Preferred gave the most unkind service and was flat out rude - but the rest of the team seemed to understand customer service. Location is good for peace and quiet. Sunsets were awesome.
