Monteverde Vacation

We loved our stay at Casa Mia and Monteverde. Our host was fantastic and provided us with many recommendations for the area. The house was clean and very comfortable for our family of four. Kitchen was very well stocked and the views from the windows were astounding. We even had a little coati pay us a visit just outside the kitchen window and we enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the birds.

Great spot in Monteverde

Such a great, quiet spot outside Monteverde with nice touches for its guests. Recommend a high clearance vehicle to get around the area to explore all it has to offer!

The place is a dream

Close enough to town but you would never know it. Accommodation tastefully decorated. Lots of beautiful wood. Sits on its own mini reserve. We loved it all

Perfect Location and home away from home

Very nice home, location and great owners to communicate with. Loved the washer and dryer as this stay was midway through our trip.

Absolutely loved this place

We absolutely loved this place! All of the windows make you feel so connected with the beautiful nature outside. We enjoyed waking up in the mornings and seeing/listening to the birds. There was a nearby tree on the property with several nests of Montezuma Oropendolas which was a highlight of our stay. The space was clean and comfortable and our host Oscar was so friendly and kind. We hope to return on day if we revisit the area. Gracias Oscar!

Amazing Clouud Forrest Oasis

Beautiful house with glass walls and beautiful fauna and flora surrounded grounds. Had everything we needed and even it's own walking trial. Easy communication with Oscar. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful views. Close to town, but secluded. My family has good memories of our stay, and we will recommend to any of our friends headed to the area.

Very very special place to stay

My wife and two teenage girls had a wonderful time at this special place. The house was well-outfitted, and there was space for all of us. The location cant be beat. You really feel like you're somewhere special and out of the way, but the drive into town and around to attractions was easy.

Awesome place to stay. Close to hanging bridges, restaurants and shops. Hummingbirds galore. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Once a lifetime location and view

Although it is a bit challenging (for an average American) to get to the property via winding road (partly gravel and partly one lane), the view and location are stunning. The feeling of being in a middle of the forest with mountains and a stream running at the bottom of the valley, symphony of birds and moving leaves and cicadas. It all comes with panoramic views out of all living areas and bedrooms and all modern conveniences. Bathrooms and showers are nice and WiFi works well. Would recommend a 4x4 car to get there.We all loved it and would want to return.

Hummingbird Heaven

Our stay was amazing. The property is wonderful. Every morning we sat on the deck with coffee and watched the hummingbirds feasting on the flowers on the bank just below us. I can’t recommend Casa Mia enough.

Wonderful Guest House

Great location if you don’t mind the 10 minute drive into Santa Elena. So peaceful and many hummingbirds and butterflies in the beautiful gardens. The house had everything you needed and it was clean and comfortable. A perfect 3 day holiday in the mountains.

Great get away

The accommodations at Casa Mia were wonderful! Everything was very clean, close to town and the fresh cut flowers, bread and eggs upon our arrival was a great touch. Oscar was very responsive during our stay. Amazing place to recharge.

2 days in Monteverde

Great location and very nice house in the cloud forest. Great host, very quick to respond to our inquiries. Of all the place we stayed in Costa Rica, this was easily our favorite. We would have stayed more than 2 days if we would have known!

Great stay in the cloud forest

Amazing property in a great location. Very convenient to Santa Elena and the best Monteverde attractions including Sky Adventures and Selvatura parks. The on-site hiking trails were an amazing bonus and fun for the whole family. Oscar is a friendly and very responsive host. Highly recommend Casa Mia.

Could not be better

This is our second stay at Casa Mia. We love the setting and the house fits us perfectly. From our balcony we could see lots and lots of birds, even a troupe of monkeys came through to entertain us. Oscar and his wife are great hosts. Fresh flowers in the house! Fresh eggs and a loaf of bread were enough for two breakfasts for the four of us. Comfy beds. Can’t ask for more! We’ll be back again.

Mi Casa Monteverde

Our family of four absolutely loved our stay. Location is perfect for accessing activities yet tucked away and private for quiet walks on the property and bird watching. House had everything we needed, and having access to laundry was really helpful. Definitely recommend a stay here! Thanks Oscar and Juana!
