Relaxing creekside

Beautiful property! We spent hours by the water playing with the dogs, as well as on the deck watching sunsets. The house is conveniently located just outside of Tannersville, where you can stock up on supplies or get some food to go. Plenty of trails to hike nearby, too.The home itself was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Bedding was nice and comfortable, and central air was lovely for hotter days.

Great family property with a nice bunk room for kids. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive. Definitely recommend it!

Amazing location, close to so many great hikes

Wrap around deck where you can enjoy morning coffee and listen to the sound of the waterfall at the base of the property (2-3 minute hike down a little trail). Huge yard great for games..

Relaxing

Great location short walk to waterfalls. Don't miss the giant turtle near waterfall. House very clean with everything you need. Outside fireplace was great for smores. Host was very attentive.

Beautiful house next to Schoharie Creek.

We had a great month stay at this beautiful house. Kirsten and Leon are excellent hosts. Beds were comfortable and house had everything that we needed. Internet was great and we never lost a power when Debbie storm came through. Surprise bottle of wine met us when we arrived - Thank you Kirsten and Leon for your hospitality!

Great house, great location, great hosts!

The house is spacious, clean, well maintained and comfortably furnished. The owners have stocked the house with everything you will need for a pleasant stay. The location is close to several towns, including Hunter and the property has an outdoor fireplace and creek out back. And the hosts were extremely responsive and went beyond what most people would do to make my family feel welcomed. Highly recommend!

Nice, cozy, impecable house

We spent a long weekend in January and had a wonderful time! The hosts were very nice and helpful. They answered all our questions timely, were very flexible woth the check in and checkout times. The house is very nice and cozy and very well equipped. It is in an impecable condition and everything works perfectly. It really was a great weekend and we would be happy to come back.

Great Location!

We had a awesome time in Elka Park this past June. The House and its location was perfect for our family and did not disappoint. Our most memorable experience is the beautiful waterfall a short walk from the property, albeit a steep trail, it is walkable for most. The sound of the waterfall is heard from our bedroom at night and is very tranquil. The property is a short drive to North/South Lake which has great hiking trails and spectacular views of Kaaterskill Falls. We highly recommend this fabulous vacation home!

Wonderful place to vacation

We really enjoyed our stay in this perfectly put together vacation home. Very tidy, new/ newly renovated, well appointed with all the amenities we needed. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay super comfortable. The towels were softest of any rental, wifi and Netflix work perfectly, there are real (small) waterfalls just behind the house, there were very useful copies of hiking maps and a bottle of wine waiting for us and the location of the house is perfect: lots of hiking, lakes and a town with restaurants and shops are all close by. There is also lots of space around the property for outside games. We highly recommend this home for short or longer stays (we did 4 nights which was not enough!).

Great house, idyllic location

Super clean house with all the basics and million dollar views. Awoke to mountain views thru the picture window, enjoyed coffee with the sound of the waterfall below, and watched the sun sink behind the mountains in the evening. Plenty of space for teens to do their own thing or share in family time. We all had a great time exploring the falls adjacent to the property. Recommend the Chinese takeout place in Tannersville, Brios in Phoenicia, and the Rail Explorers experience in Phoenicia. Nearby hiking for every level of experience and fitness. We hope to be back again!

Quiet, clean, well-appointed, charming

This charming house was a perfect getaway for our family with four adult children. There was enough room to get away for quiet reading, but it was also cozy enough to enjoy cooking, eating, and hanging out together. The hosts thought of everything we could need, and the nearby farmers stands and Tops provided the rest. We explored the beautiful creek and waterfall in the backyard, hiked to nearby Kaaterskill Falls, kayaked and paddle-boarded off a tributary of the Hudson, and spent a day wandering around the cute shops over the bridge in Hudson, NY. It was relaxing and restorative - thank you!

Rained a lot and was still so fun

This place was great! We got unlucky with weather but still had a great time. 3 little kids loved the yard and the treks down to the waterfall and creek. They also loved the bunk beds and trampoline! Kirsten and Leon are pros. They are thoughtful and really wanted to make sure we had what we needed to have a nice time away from work and school. The location to the creek and waterfall are fantastic but also just how close to Hunter and Tannersville we are. For us rained out folk we needed restaurants and shops close by. The house itself is fully equipped, clean and just very well thought out in general. Would highly recommend and can't wait to return with some sunshine next time!

Beautiful secluded but conveniently located home

Pictures do not do the house justice! Lovely open layout of living and dining areas. Simple but very cozy home with everything you need. Although the home is probably more suited to 6 adults we had a great time as 8 friends in our late twenties (and owner did warn us about the bunk beds which were actually perfectly comfortable!). River and waterfall right there on the property, 5m drive to Hunter and 5m to the grocery store and cute Tannersville. Would just warn other guests as its not obvious in the listing that there are 2 cameras on the outside of the house which the owners watch and should tell people about. Not inside so not too concerning but a courtesy nonetheless.

Restorative Getaway in a Spectacular Setting

Our family loved our time spent here so much! This home is beautiful, and the hosts' attention to detail was exceptional. There was clearly a lot of though put into how people would use the property on vacation, and it made for a seamless, relaxing, and fun experience. Our daughter loved the trampoline and the bunk beds, we enjoyed the spacious kitchen and the porch and deck - a perfect place to sit and take in the view rain or shine. The beds and pillows and towels were comfy, there were hooks and cabinets or shelves everywhere you needed, and the kitchen had every dish and wine glass you could want. Kirsten and Leon were super responsive and anticipated anything we could ask. My mom commented, "They thought of everything!" If you're a family with kids looking for things to do: the home itself has a spectacular waterfall and creek on the property, a giant soccer net in the yard, a hammock where you can lay and listen to the rush of the falls, and tons of board games - which we all enjoyed together. We had a great lunch at Last Chance Antiques and a delicious big breakfast at the Catskill Mountain Country Store in Tannersville. We swam and hiked at the nearby North-South Lake campground, we hiked Kaaterskill Falls and the rail trail, and we took a memorable ride on the Railway Express in Phoenecia. Saugerties is also a quaint town with an excellent bookstore that isn't too far away. It was a joy to stay here, and we hope to come back!

Autumn getaway

We enjoyed our short stay in this Elka Park home. The wraparound deck was a bonus with a beautiful view. The beds were comfortable. The cozy fireplace and interesting artwork made us feel at home. Beautiful waterfalls a short but fairly steep walk from the deck. Many interesting places to hike and places to visit a short drive from this home The homeowner was easy to get ahold of and responsive to our needs

Fall Hiking

We spent five days hiking the many trails that were all within a half hour of the house. The house had everything we needed and was quite comfortable. Water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to contact. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stay in Elka Park

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Elka Park. It is in close proximity to lots of hiking trails in the area, as well as the towns of Hunter and Tannersville. The waterfall in the back yard was gorgeous, worth the trek down to it. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Wonderful time in the Catskills

This is a beautiful house in a beautiful area of the Catskills. We had everything we needed for a relaxed family stay. The outdoor decks are great from morning to dusk, a place where you can sit and listen to the concerts of forest birds or hear the stream flowing over the falls. Indoors, the HVAC system was efficient and quiet (we were there during a heat wave and really appreciated it). Some of the best hiking trails in the Catskills are nearby. We would love to return.

Summer get away

This property was immaculate and set up for success as a renter and owner. Communication with the owner was outstanding. Everything is labeled with clear instructions. Plenty of low key things to do to enjoy nature, go golfing, swimming, etc. Everywhere you look is a fabulous view. We will opt to stay here again.

Great location!

Very cute cabin in an amazing location. The waterfall behind the property was gorgeous and we all had a blast. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. We had everything we needed and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Women's Fall get away

We stayed at this property in Nov of 2021. The place was clean and well appointed. Communication with the owners was clear and quick. Water pressure in the showers was great. Beds comfortable. it was a great place for our group size. Everything we could need was in the kitchen. My only wish was for a real coffee table, would have loved to have a place to work on a jigsaw puzzle that wasn't the dinning room table. The property was a little close to the road and people drive fast on this road. But it has lovely views, nice side yard and it's great to hear the creek and waterfall from the house. Wish we went earlier in the year so we could have sat outside more. Recommend this place.

Great family weekend

We really enjoyed the house. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, with a beautiful wraparound deck. Super place to enjoy morning coffee and take in the scenery. It’s a great location—5 minutes to Tannersville. And a beautiful property adjacent to a short trail that leads down to a beautiful waterfall. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the house. Great selection of games for rainy days.

Waterfall in the backyard

Such a beautiful, clean, and comfortable house in the gorgeous Catskills. They have a stream with a waterfall right behind the house, a very short walk down a path, and you could hear the peaceful sound of it while sitting on the large back deck. Our group has a peaceful and relaxing time at this house. Owners were very helpful and had good communication from the start. Binder with instructions and things to do in the area was helpful. Comfortable beds and linens, kitchen was well-stocked with everything you'd need for cooking. Would go back again and strongly recommend!
