Our house is adjacent to 6000 acres of the Moses Cone National Park and the Julian Price State Park. The Natioanl Park Service maintains 32 milee of 10 foot wide hiking trails--originallly built by Moses Cones (the man who invented blue jeans)--a few feet from our driveway. Also beautiful Bass Lake is just about 100 yards away. Everyone enjoys the easy 1 mile walk around the lake or the 45 minute hike to the Moses Cone Manor House--now the showplace for the world renowned crafts of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild.
In addition, enjoy the numerous Chetola Resort amenities such as heated indoor pool, fishing (stocked with trout), full spa, sauna, steam room, boating, fly fishing lessons, kids camps, sporting clay shooting, biking. Also enjoy the many views of the Blue Ridge Parkway nearby.
Then enjoy the shopping (including high end outlet shopping nearby) and the many unique restaurants that have made Blowing Rock famous. Blowing Rock also has a great museum and has high quality live theater most of the year. Also visit The Blowing Rock to discover what put Blowing Rock on the map as a destination reaord in the early 1900's.
