Location is great. House needs a deep cleaning and much repair. Overall, we had a good vacation...who wouldn't in OBX? Unfortunately, we will not rent this home again until safety concerns and repairs are completed (particulars/photos sent to management company).

Although we enjoyed out stay, we are at the beach lol ... there we're a few issues that could have been fixed prior to our arrival. a) thorny vines were growing up through the bottom stairs and crossing the sidewalk around the bottom of the house ( sent msg ..was fixed.) House could have been cleaned better. Smudges on windows especially kitchen window next to elevator .... film on most of the rest. Dust/ sand here and there. Other than that the house could use some paint on decks and inside the house. Construction left overs in the master closet could be removed. Broom needs to be in kitchen (took a day to find it in the closet on bottom level) Wifi should be located on top level and speed is terrible. Saying all that ...we enjoyed our stay ... would rent this house again ....just making you aware of issues that could be worked on! Thanks for a great week!

Based on previous reviews, we expected to be underwhelmed. We were pleasantly surprised to see improvements being made and are looking forward to more being done to complete the updating. The pool is great, as is the location. The immediate problems were quickly taken care of by Village Realty and we enjoyed our vacation! I down rated it a little bit because of the need for further updates.

There are maintenance issues. Drain in MB doesn’t drain. Many painting issues need attention. Chipping paint in many locations. Several TVs don’t work correctly. No DVD player works. They are just old. With upgrades could be a great place.

This house needs some definite tender loving care. You should not rent this until the upkeep is done. Fixtures, appliances, and amenities all need tuned up or replaced. Water pressure is awful. The only shower that worked great was the one that was outside. 3 different people 3 different times tried to use the master shower on the 3rd floor and could not get it to work properly. The left side was scalding hot water and the right side was ice cold. Our Grandfather took a "bird bath all week" (wipe down) because he needed something he could just walk into and not step up and over. One of the reasons we rented this house was for the walk in shower for him. Big Disappointment! 4 bedrooms have leaking ceilings. Hot Tub the jets don't work. Dryer takes 2-3 cycles which I did read a review from July 2016 that was the case with their stay as well but I figured that would have been taken care of by now but it has not. One of my favorite reasons to rent a beach house is that I bring home clean clothes from

The location is amazing but as others have noted some of the smaller things need updating. Some fixtures (bathrooms, kitchen) are dated and worn looking. Also, dryer wasn't efficient and took two dry cycles to dry clothes. There was a good bit of visible rust on decking and house. That said it was all really cosmetic. Any of the issues we had were resolved quickly and professionally. Village Realty did an amazing job on that front. With a little more upkeep this house would be great.

Love the location of this house, and the great gazebo halfway down to the ocean. However, sad to say, it's not the same as it was 5 years ago when we stayed. Not sure if one of the storms go to it or just a failure of routine maintenance, but we found a lot of issues: headboard loose in one of 2nd floor bedrooms & may hit someone in the head, overflow drain in master bedroom is clogged and could cause water problem if not repaired, angle support on gazebo is unattached to post, ceiling sagging in second floor bedroom with discolored tiles (water damage?) and maybe mold, deck furniture was filthy, and one pool chair collapsed (come to find out, it had missing screws), black spiders in master bath. Looked like some painting may have been done over areas not repaired. Overpriced for issues that exist. Otherwise, wonderful amount of cooking utensils, etc, great hot tub, and the best weather we've ever had!
