Privacy among the trees and canal

Overall, this property was very nice especially the location at the march at the end of the road. The home was clean although there was dust on the fan blades. Other reviews talked about bugs and smell which I have to agree that we experienced both. I reported these issues to the property manager so we'll see as we hope to go back again next year.

Not for me

House was dirty. If you don't like for the sun to shine in the house and to be beside a swamp by all means this is for you. Need to clean ceiling fans indoor outdoor carpet needs replacing, cushions on furniture dirty and worn. One good thing was the screened in porch. Not worth the price. If you go for weekend or 3 day you pay more according to Ocarcoke Island Realty. Personally I would be glad to have someone enjoy my house in March 2017 and give a break.

Thank you for staying with us, and I am sorry your stay was not what you hoped for. We do clearly state that this home is next to a canal and that there are many live oaks and a marsh nearby, as can be clearly seen in the photos. This home is cleaned by a private cleaner who was hired by the owner, not Ocracoke Island Realty and we will be letting the owner know about the issues you mention. There is no excuse for a dirty home, and I sincerely apologize that you had to deal with the ceiling fans and cushions. As for paying more for a 3 day stay, I am not sure what you meant. While it is never pleasant to get a bad review, we need to see them and address any issues as soon as possible since guest satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. So, again, thank you for your stay and your comments and I do hope you will return to Ocracoke Island in the future.
