L’Ostalet: a peaceful countryside retreat near Mirepoix w/ large heated pool

L’Ostalet (sleeps 5) is a beautifully restored self-catering holiday gîte located within Le Domaine de Loustalviel.

Le Domaine de Loustalviel is set in the rolling landscape of Occitanie, near the foothills of the Pyrenees. It is located just outside the small village of Pech-Luna, not far from the pretty medieval town of Mirepoix. It boasts three acres of secluded lawns and award-winning gardens for guests to enjoy, along with private terraces for outdoor dining and barbecues and a large heated swimming pool.

L’Ostalet is a traditional Occitanie cottage offering rustic charm and quirky original features, including an old bread oven in the kitchen and a stone basin in the living area.

L'Ostalet has a downstairs en suite double bedroom, and an upstairs en suite attic bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. The comfortable living room leads through to a spacious kitchen and separate dining area.

Outside, there are patios to both the front and rear, and a secluded private garden with barbecue area.

L’Ostalet is equipped with high-speed wifi, TV with streaming services and bluetooth hifi, electric oven and hobs, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge and separate freezer, espresso machine, kitchen crockery and utensils, Egyptian cotton bed linen, towels (including pool towels), iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Cots and high chairs are available on request.

The Domaine’s 12-metre heated swimming pool is bordered by a pétanque pitch for guests to enjoy. We also offer outdoor table tennis and a telescope for star-gazing.

Le Domaine de Loustalviel is located in an area of natural beauty and rich culture. It is surrounded by enchanting medieval villages and towns, vineyards, lakes and prehistoric caves.

The historic Canal du Midi is only a 20-minute drive away, and in just over an hour you can reach Mediterranean beaches or go hiking or skiing in the majestic Pyrenees. Nearby, captivating towns like Carcassonne, Mirepoix, Foix, Camon and Fanjeaux make perfect day trips.

Loustalviel is an ideal base for a wide range of outdoor activities. Whether it's golfing, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, cycling or horse riding, you'll find plenty to keep you active and engaged.

Carcassonne and Toulouse airports are both within an hour’s drive away.
