Location was great for what we needed. The accommodations were very comfortable. House was clean. Bedrooms clean and ready as well. I do with the kitchen was better equipped. All in all very good and I would stay again.

Overrated and Poorly Equipped Home

Day 1and 2 of a 7 day stay consisted of unnecessary stress due to the kitchen’s lack of basic supplies. No can or bottle openers, dish towels, pot holders, foils or wraps, napkins . There were four pans thrown on the counter and I had to assemble one of the lids myself. I had to cook spaghetti in a sauce pan because he did not have a taller pan and buy tin containers to broil fish. I also had to buy can/ bottle openers, napkins, wraps, dish towels, and dryer sheets. The host told me to use the extra dishwasher rack as a dry rack! The glassware was all very dusty so I had to clean them too. Our host told us numerous times he had met the minimum VRBO requirements to rent when we complained about numerous items that were usually available in other VRBO’s for this price and location. In addition the house was very cheaply furnished and the walls were all beat up with old hooks and no pictures. Lastly, before bed on Day 1 we discovered that the window above our heads leaked cold air and could not be closed so we had to put towels in the sill and mid section and I wore a hat to bed a few nights because it was a cold week! It really was a let down for the price and lack of attention to our needs by the host who got defensive and then unresponsive because he felt we asked too much of him. Lastly, the house’s TV system was just as basic as can be; you have to stream everything. In sum, a cheap host, very ill equipped drafty home and a very disappointing weeks stay.
