Secluded Fairytale Cottage surrounded by forest w/ hot tub and wifi

Feel a sense of calm wash over you the second you open your car door at this completely secluded fairytale cottage in the woods. Enjoy your morning coffee with the crisp scent of firs or enjoy a late night soak in the hot tub while looking at the stars. No matter what you do, you will be at peace with your loved ones at this retreat! This property boasts enough nature to stay put and explore, or hike the connected Zaleski backpacking trail. Lake Hope and Hocking Hills are a close drive! The cottage has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. On the main floor is the cozy master queen size bedroom, and upstairs there are two additional bedrooms. One has a full size bed and a twin bed, and the other, arguably the second master, has a queen size bed as well. We offer a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook meals for the weekend. In the morning, drink your coffee from the beautiful deck or enjoy a soak in the hot tub, looking right into pine trees with view of the pond down the hill. We provide high speed internet through Starlink, so you can work remotely if needed. Or choose to disconnect! At night, enjoy nature by having a fire with friends and family at our fire-pit down by the pond, soaking in the soothing sounds of nature and enjoying the stars. To see the Milky Way on a clear night, go to the orchard right off the house for the best view!

Such a beautiful setting. Very private location nestled in the woods. The house is decorated so nicely and was so comfortable for our family. The location was perfect for us -- between visits to Athens and Hocking Hills.

Great place to stay ! . But driveway was very steep and a little scary getting up and down, so we did not venture out after dark . And outdoor lighting also kept us in doors after dark . Otherwise cottage was wonderful and we had a great time! It was very clean and host replied very quickly when we had a question. Very cute & roomy for the 6 of us. And beautiful views around the cottage !

The cottage was adorable, exactly as described on the listing, total peace and quiet except for them nature noises. Kitchen and bathroom equipped with everything you need. Host responded within minutes every time I contacted them. Very beautiful pit for memory making with the family. Definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic time! Everything was exactly as described. The WIFI worked great and the location was just heaven sent. Everything was great pristine, plenty of blankets, towels, even basic pantry needs were here. The directions they gave brought us right to the cabin due to the road closure. 10/10 would stay again.

This is an adorable little cottage. Our family enjoyed our time in the secluded cabin during the OU graduation weekend. The upstairs bedrooms gave the perfect amount of privacy to our teenage kids.

The cozy, secluded cabin was exactly as described. We had a great time taking in the sites of the surrounding area and coming back to the cabin for family games, movies and s’mores by the fire pit.

Wonderful experience!

We had an amazing time staying in the fairytale cottage. The place itself was perfect for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. We loved exploring the land and relaxing in the hot tub. Everything was perfect!!

We had such a great stay and made so many memories here! The directions to the cottage were very helpful but fair warning, arriving late at night in Hocking Hills is NOT for the faint of heart . It definitely took us a little longer than planned to find the house in the dark, but we made it!The cottage was perfect for our group, with plenty of space inside and tons of room outside for three boys under 10 to explore, burn off energy, and have adventures all while the parents could actually relax and still keep an eye on them. That alone deserves five stars! One of the highlights was meeting the unexpected furry friend who had apparently taken up residence in the grill. The men handled that situation with exactly the level of bravery you would expect… which is to say, there may have been some screaming. Between cooking out, bonfires around the fire pit, amazing stargazing, karaoke, tubing, hiking, and just enjoying being together, it was the perfect Hocking Hills getaway. We laughed a lot, the kids stayed busy, the adults got to relax, and we left with some great stories to tell.Thank you for sharing your cottage with us we had an awesome weekend and would definitely recommend it for families looking for a fun, laid-back Hocking Hills escape!

The place is as listed with the exception of the location being on a secluded piece of land on a gravel driveway that requires a four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill. That information was not disclosed until the check in information was provided on our way to the property which was anxiety-producing. The property is very quaint and decorated with an esthetic that is well executed.

Loved it!

Stayed for 3 nights with family and had a great time. The property was as described in the listing and clean when we arrived. Had everything we needed. Super secluded and private with plenty of outdoor space for our group of 7 adults. Bonfire area and hot tub were nice at the end of a long day exploring Hocking Hills and the surrounding area. The town had a power outage the last night we were there. The host was very responsive and helped us problem solve so we were able to get back to enjoying our trip. Would recommend heeding the advice of the host on having an AWD or 4WD vehicle to get up the driveway. That incline was no joke! Two of our three vehicles made it up the drive without issue (Toyota Rav 4 and an AWD Ford Escape). Tried three times with the last one (2WD Ford Fusion) and then was able to reverse up the drive (do not recommend this solution for all sorts of reasons). So believe the host when they tell you it’s a steep drive. Thanks for a pleasant weekend away!

You have a half mile drive up a secluded drive. The property is completely surrounded by the forest. If you are wanting to get away to your own little private sanctuary this is it. There are numerous swings on the property and other places to sit (along with the hot tub) where you can just look out and enjoy the pond and the forest. I don’t want to use the word skylight because I don’t think that is technically what it is but in the upstairs master bedroom there is a window that captures the sunrise from the bed. All in all it was the perfect place to stay to be away life’s stresses. If we ever make it back to the area again we would happily be interested in staying again.
