To be clear I had a wonderful wedding weekend, I did appreciate that this was a 9br 9bath home with a large deck. When I first arrived at the property, I had to contact someone on the check in procedure because no information was provided beforehand. Once I entered the home, I noticed that there were fingerprints all over the appliances, the microwave door was broken, the inside of the microwave was very dirty, the oven refrigerator were dirty and missing freezer door handle, the pool was dirty, as I went into each room there was dirty Linen in each closet, that is NINE BEDROOMS. I contacted Ms. Stephanie who only replied, "Sorry you are going through that". Well, there is a cleaning fee attached to this property that I paid, so I promptly took pictures and sent to Ms. Stephanie to ask for a refund of the cleaning fee, since I would need to clean the entire house myself. I proceeded to clean and remove the dirty linens from each room, it took me about two hours to clean before my guest would arrive. I received a text from Ms. Stephanie that Mr. Carol would not be refunding the cleaning fee and that if I wanted to discuss it with him to call him and she supplied me with a number. I called the number he did not answer so I sent a text, saying that I thought it was only fair to refund the cleaning fee since I was the one cleaning the house. Mr. Carol claimed that the cleaners did not get finished because I wanted an early check in. I checked in maybe a 1 1/2 hrs early, there was not even a sign of cleaning at ALL, no clean smell, no wiped down counters, and like I said there was dirty linens in EVERY closet!!! Mr. Carol chose not to refund the cleaning fee which I believe was unfair, not customer friendly and not business like, especially knowing that pictures were taken, and I spent my own time cleaning. This was my Wedding Weekend and I decided not to argue and bring any bad energy to my day. I did not appreciate that I was not respected as a consumer when dealing with Mr. Carol, he was short with every response, and never spoke to me over the phone. The property had many other maintenance issues such as the balcony doors were old and rusty and one of the rooms the door was twisted and broken and needed to be open forcibly. You may say well -why not just leave it dirty when you leave? That is not the proper way to do things I left Mr. Carol's house CLEANER than what I found it. I even left my cleaning products, garbage bags, and a new dustpan.
