The Funky Little Shack at Grand Rivers - Pet friendly! Wi-fi, smart TV!

Just 3 miles from I-24! Enjoy your stay within walking distance of all that Grand Rivers has to offer. Convenience is key here with delicious Cabin Pizza right in the same complex! This cute, newly renovated little cabin apartment is the perfect spot for a couple (or a couple of friends!), hunters and fishermen to get away.
Perfect spot for travelers/snowbirds as it’s only 3 miles from I24!
This is a studio apartment on the floor level of the cabin. Just adjacent to the apartment is Cabin Pizza (shared parking lot, but you will have two dedicated parking spaces). There is one queen size bed and sofa with chaise lounge that can be used as a sleeping space if needed (it is small, so only small adults or children would be comfortable there).
Kitchenette includes a compact refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, utensils and drinkware. There is also a charcoal grill out back, and we have grill utensils. You will need to bring your own charcoal. Village Market just down the street carries charcoal, starter, and other supplies you may need!
Because this is a shared parking lot with a restaurant on site, please be aware that we cannot control noise levels. We do provide a sound machine and there are ear plugs in the night stand next to the bed.

The property is super cool. Located right next door to Cabin Pizza, this little stay is amazing. Walking distance to everything Grand Rivers has to offer. We had lunch at Patti's then played some putt putt golf and had a great time. Later that afternoon we watched the sunset at the lighthouse landing. It was about a ten minute walk. I would definitely stay again.

Pictures were slightly deceptive, should have known for the amazing price that it would not be perfect. The pictures made it seem like it was a cute funky “shack” stand alone chalet/bungalow. When in reality is a room attached to a business, under what appeared to be an apartment or separate rental, in the parking lot of a pretty busy pizza place. It was as VERY clean, cute and cozy. Cozy being the word. Downside- parking was literally two feet from the door and tight. The “shack” was only the downstairs part of the building shown in the photo, and not much space inside. We are taller than average, which made for difficult showering. The bathroom was small and shower head was lower than my head. The shower is the equivalent of a smaller camper shower. We only stayed one night and found another place. We were in town for a formal event and needed space to get ready and this wasn’t it. Location was great. Walkable to Patti’s and lake access. We aren’t likely to stay again. But for someone who will be spending most of the time outdoors and not over 6ft or over 180lbs it would work.

Beginning to end Amazing, relaxing trip. Somehow from the beginning our reservation was messed up as I specifically chose the property intending to bring our dog. I contacted the host immediately a few days before arrival when I saw and they were AMAZING.

The Funky Shack was very clean and was in a great location. It was exactly as it was shown on the website. We had to find "the sweet spot" for hot water in the shower. It is at about the 2 o'clock position! We loved our stay there and will definitely stay there again!

Great place to stay!!!

We had a Mother/Daughter weekend and The Funky Little Shack was the perfect place to stay! Very clean, had everything we needed, communication with host was great! We definetly reccomend this place and Cabin Pizza was so good! We also ate at Patti's, went to Badgetts for a show and ice cream at Craigs!

Anniversary getaway

Nice cabin, really enjoyed our stay. Great location, within walking distance to some of the places we wanted to see. Only downside was there was nowhere to hang our clothes. Suggestion is a couple of hooks on the bathroom door. Hope to stay there again in the future.
