This apartment is a great place to stay when visiting Budapest. It is convenient location in a city/residential area, quiet, but with lots of shops and restaurants very close. The apartment is smallish, but very adequate, clean, comfortable, and gives a feeling of authenticity. We loved it. The hosts are very friendly and attentive. Janos took us on a fantastic 7 hour tour of both tourist sights and out of the way Budapest places. We recommend that highly. We also took advantage of the home cooked Hungarian feast, mainly prepared by Jozsef, which was wonderful. Just FYI, we were not aware that meal is served in your apartment, not theirs. It worked out well, though, and we had some great conversations.

Initially the property was chosen for location and price. It is in an excellent location and very well priced. The kitchen and bathroom were well,equipped to meet our needs, including a washing machine. János was easy to communicate with, very obliging,friendly,responding to requests promptly. While a very homely atmosphere, a few simple improvements would make this property highly desirable. We had a most wonderful time

The accommodation is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and in a building likely dating from the early 1900s. The apartment was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hosts were very responsive. Public transit and major tourist attractions were easily accessible.

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances dans cet appartement. Janos et Jozsef nous ont fourni de précieux conseils et l'appartement était parfait pour nous : dans un quartier calme (mais riche en histoire avec tous ses immeubles Art déco), proche du centre et juste à côté des transports en commun. Nous ne manquerons pas de revenir dans cet appartement lors de notre prochain séjour !

The Best Ever!

Janos and Jozsef are the best hosts! Janos communicated perfectly prior to our arrival and arranged a pick up for us at the BUD airport that was flawless. The apartment is perfectly equipped with everything needed, and the washer works perfectly. The bed is very comfortable and bedding is divine. We chose to explore Budapest with Janos as our guide on our first day in town and it was a great decision! Janos was a very informative and considerate guide. I would highly recommend getting your bearings for the rest of your time in the city, a tour with Janos is the way to go! Janos offered to cook a meal for us and Jozsef did much of the preparation while we were out exploring. Janos made a wonderful cheesecake the day before. It was a delicious authentic, Hungarian meal. It was well worth the money and a perfect ending to our first day. The apartment location is local to everything. Book with Janos and Jozsef. You will be happy you did!

A Truly Wonderful Stay

This excellent property is situated on the 5th floor of a traditional Hungarian apartment block only a few minutes walk from The Danube and so close to all of the famous sites. The area has many bars and restaurants as well as several small independent shops where you can buy delicious bread and pastries, fruit and vegetables, cheeses, hams and sausages etc. Yet despite all of this, it is peaceful and quiet. The apartment itself is immaculately clean, very comfortable and has all you need for your stay. The main bedroom and living area is spacious, airy and comfortable; the kitchen is very well equipped and the elegant bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin and sink. There is also a single bedroom where we stored our cases. For us the very best part of our stay was meeting Janos, our host. He made our holiday so very special. On our first day, he arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport and then spent time with us explaining the excellent transport system and recommending restaurants and places to visit as well as the best times to visit them. We had already planned a day’s sightseeing with him which was so good that we asked him for a second day when we visited a beautiful village in the mountains, went bob-sleighing and then had a two hour boat trip on the Danube. Janos obviously loves his country and was so knowledgeable and informative, explaining his country’s history as well as life now. We loved spending the time with him. We will be back!

Overall great experience

Excellent location. Very quiet and easy to reach the Inner City and the Buda Castle. It was nice to be so close to the Danube and the Parliament. The apartment is very clean and well equipped. János and József are very warm and gracious hosts. They met us at the entrance and walked us through the building and the apartment. During our stay we had an opportunity to spend some time with János and József and had very interesting conversations. We had a great experience.

A taste of Hungary

I love these old apartments where you get to live like you're a Hungarian with a 100 years of history behind you. Lots of cafes for breakfast with 2 mins, plus an excellent restaurant, trams within 2 mins. The city has a great tram and tube network, use the go budapest app to get a 72 hour run around ticket. Margaret bridge within two minutes great for an evening stroll. Hosts are really helpful and will personally meet you which is nice. Overall a great stay.

I do village tours to our guests to Szentendre or Danube bend and also I do personal city walks learn about history , locals day to day life , the city hidden beauty and understand our history through my family history , get answers what easier to ask when you are in a private tour ..

この宿泊施設の特徴

I like to offer a great option to see and learn Budapest daily life and see the sights .
I lived my all life in Budapest also I became a daily biker 20 years ago which means know every small secret corners where artist or students get together for a coffee , wine or limonade .
I would like to write just shortly about my city or village tours which can be by train or walk / public transport or these combination as you choose .
The city tour can be half day or full day . I never learned to guide but love my city and I was always curious about history and people and I always ask about people life so if you like to see this city through a local person eye , that is me .
Every tour I do I share my life and a small part of my soul so I happy to wait the right small group of travellers .
Keywords what you can see and hear on a city tour : sights like Parliament , walk on Chain bridge , walk around Royal Palace , Mathias church , Fishermen bastion , than Saint Stephen Basilica , Opera , Synagogue , Great Market hall , Heroes square .
Whate else : have a drink at Simpla garden ruin pub and if there is live music listen a little bit
than discuss which thermal bath the best and what you should do there to follow the local tradition , book a table in our favorite restaurant where is live music every evening and not touristy and reasonable prices (a maincourse 10 euros ) .
And my stories (local people life , communism and so on )what I learned from people and my family ...
The village tour to Szentendre the art village can be by train or boat or these combination . This is a romantic village in Hungary with art , cafes , 300 yo houses .
Also I can show 3 beautiful places in 1 day Esztergom first capital of Hungary than Visegrad at Danube bend and Szentendre . The half day is about 4- 5 hours long and 116 euros and the full day is 156 Euros (around 8 hours ) for 1-5 person .
