Spectacular location

Very charming apartment antique and old world. Absolutely perfect location. Our host was a perfect gentleman and we enjoyed meeting him and asking him questions. Thank you so much for hosting my family- we appreciated your hospitality.

Great location, decent accommodations

First let me say the agent was super nice and accomodating. The location is excellent and the price was reasonable. That said, there are several important things to know. This apt is in a rather old building and furnished in a vintage style as is evident from the photos. What wasn't evident to me from the listing Is that there is no direct water view from the regular windows of the apartment. You actually have to walk up several stairs to the Terrace in order to see that view which is outside and not so comfortable in the winter. Secondly, there are two twin beds pushed together that are pretty firm and only a thin sheet covering both of them. The comforter was not thick and heavy and barely covered the beds. There were ample towels but no tissues. And just a bottle of squeeze soap and no shampoo. I'm not sure how often they rent out apartments but small touches can make a big difference. For example, even including a couple of bottles of water would be nice. Yes, this apartment is inexpensive. But so are many hotels in Budapest that do include amenities. Finally there is a toilet room which is small and not well-heated. And for some strange reason the bidet is in the room with the shower and not right next to the toilet. I've never seen that before.

When you arrive I'll explain where the various local services are. The nearest metro station is less than a minute walk away, the mini market (open 24/24), as well as the Christmas market.
As you are on the main pedestrian area of Budapest, you have all the services available such as restaurants, nightlife, basilica (to confess the nightlife??), etc., ....
