This breathtaking piece of land has been in our family for over 30 years with the patriarch and matriarch of our family moving here from Johannesburg in the late 1980s.
This home, however, was newly finished in November of 2024 and pays homage to our ouma and oupa in ways we hope you will enjoy. Our indoor/outdoor water feature mimics the underground ravine (kloof) that flows below our home, and during the rainy winter months you can hear it near the bottom of our property at the front gate.
You’ll find popcorn kernels in the TV lounge on the upper-most floor. Twice a day, in the morning and late afternoon, you may feed the guinea fowl (tarentaal) who call Table Mountain their home. Many visits with ouma and oupa resulted in their grandchildren throwing corn out the windows to the beautiful guinea fowls who came for their breakfast and dinner. During construction many of these beautiful birds left the area, but when our house was finished, our lovely guinea fowl returned.
