Our vacation condominium is located on the lush Kiahuna Plantation Resort Great Lawn, a short walk a from Kauai’s sunny Poipu Beach sands. This is a second floor corner unit located in Building 24. It’s a quiet, private, well-appointed family vacation rental with spacious living room, dining area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and covered lanai. Our Ocean View location is perfectly situated for morning vistas, day activities and dramatic evening sunsets on Kiahuna Beach. There are many activities on Kiahuna Plantation Resort and there are many natural attractions on the island of Kauai. It’s the perfect choice for guests looking a laid back Kauai residential vacation experience in a beautiful setting.

About Kiahuna 163

The property was fully renovated recently reflecting the next generation of Kiahuna's vacation rental designs. The condominium has an open, bright and contemporary feeling while retaining the unique experience of a Kauai tropical home. All new furniture, all new flooring and tile, all new appliances, all new bathroom with walk in shower, all new mahogany doors & trim, all new cabinetry in kitchen and bathroom, and new dual AC units. The property is fully equipped with extensive tableware, appliances, microwave, convection / conventional oven and spacious refrigerator. Chefs will enjoy the spacious food preparation area of the remodeled kitchen space. Outdoor grilling is available at any of the 14 outdoor gas barbecues on the resort.

Kiahuna 163 is a corner unit designed to maximize the natural Kauai trade breeze with lanai sliding doors, abundant louvered windows and variable speed ceiling fans. For warmer days, tap on the dual AC located in the main room and the bedroom.

Just Lovely

This unit is absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't change one thing about it. It's updated and thoughtfully curated. Great location, very comfortable furnishings, lots of extras. Even though we were on vacation, we felt at home in this fabulous condo!

Beautiful condo on beautiful Poipu Beach

This second floor one-bedroom condo at Kiahuna Plantation has a beautiful view of the grassy lawn and the ocean from both the living room and the outdoor lanai. The condo is newly refurnished and in outstanding condition. The living room and the bedroom have separate thermostat-controlled air conditioners. The kitchen is fully stocked in terms of dishes and equipment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Relaxing and beautiful

The setting at Kiahuna is beautiful, with a short walk over the lawn to the beach. The unit is bright and comfortable with a well supplied kitchen. Shops and rec center with pool are an easy walk away. The balcony is perfect for relaxing any time of day. Definitely worth a return visit.

Unit 63

Kiahuna Plantation is the place to stay on the south end. It is right on the beach and the lawn area between all the buildings is well maintained and beautiful. You have a lot of privacy in this end, upstairs unit (#63). The place is clean and updated, the bed is very comfortable and the owners are awesome about getting back to you if you have any questions. We had a fabulous week long stay. I would definitely recommend this unit and Kiahuna Plantation in general to all my friends and family.

Quiet Oasis And Beach!

Best of both worlds. Quiet private and breezy with beach right around the corner thru gardens. Birds plumeria breezes all in an affordable setting. Beautiful remodeled 2nd floor corner condo. Wood accents, comfy beds & furniture, well supplied kitchen and awesome Hawaii artwork. Could not have picked a nicer place with just as nice and helpful hosts. Thanks Ken for much needed vacation. Second Honeymoon

My husband and I stayed here for our second honeymoon. Our favorite part of the condo was the beautiful view from the lanai, and it felt very private because of the two plumeria trees that are in front of the railing. It is so quiet and peaceful at this resort. The condo was nicely decorated, and there were beach umbrellas, snorkel gear, and sand toys in the closet for us to use. We liked that it was very close to the beach, but also close to the parking lot so you didn't have to carry luggage and groceries far. The beach is beautiful, and there are several good spots for snorkeling and swimming. The resort is close walking distance to a nice shopping center and restaurants.

Wonderful Stay #63

We loved staying in #63! Definitely a 5-plus! We have stayed at Kiahuna Plantations several times previously and this condo was definitely the nicest. Elegantly updated and tastefully decorated. It was great having the snorkeling supplies (including fins in many sizes) and beach umbrellas available in the condo. Ken was super responsive as was the on-site propery management. The grounds are gorgeous and the beach is just a quick walk away. We also took advantage of the Athletic Club across the street (no charge)- enjoyed playing tennis (we brought our rackets, but they have rackets to lend) and cooling off in the pool afterwards. We'll definitely stay in #63 on our next trip to Kauai!

wonderful updated Kiahuna Plantation condo

We were celebrating our 20th anniversary at Kiahuna. Kiahuna Plantation has been my go to place to stay in Poipu Beach for the last 20 + years. Unit 63 has been nicely remodeled. Kitchen and bathrooms were perfect. Loved the shower. We made full use of the kitchen for daily breakfasts, and a couple of low key dinners. Although I missed a view of the ocean from our unit, the walk to the beach (the best in Kauai in my opinion) was short. One thing I missed, maybe others did not, was a full length mirror ... so I could see how I look as I walk out the door :-). Thanks for a wonderful weeks' stay!

Beautiful Property Sandy Beach

My husband and I went on a week long trip to celebrate our baby moon with our 2 year old. We had a wonderful time. The property is absolutely beautiful, the beaches are big and sandy. Best beach out the south shore in our opinion. Located close to shops, main little town and other beaches it is a great location. Condo itself is just as listed. Great view, air conditioning and fans were great, comfortable bed and nice bathroom, beautiful Garden AND Ocean view. One part that was confusing was the pool is not near the beach on property you actually have to cross the main road and go up the hill to access the pool, gym and tennis courts. There is poolside service and a little restaurant just not conveniently located. Would stay again, was a wonderful trip.

Great Location In Poipu

We are a late 50's active couple (went on Outfitter's Kauai Adreneline ZipLine yesterday - check it out...https://outfitterskauai.com/activities/flyline-zipline/) and come to Kauai each year. This year we thought we would split it up and stay a week on south shore and a week on north shore. This unit is in a perfect location within easy walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, Poipu State Park, shopping, etc. The Plantation staff maintain excellent care of the landscape and facilities.The end unit is on the second floor and really helps in obtaining a cross breeze to keep the place cool. The unit is clean and well maintained for being a rental in the tropics. Would highly recommend to a friend and would stay here again.

Beautiful Property

We had a great stay! The condo was beautifully updated and a great location with a beautiful ocean view from the balcony and kitchen. We met a group of family and loved the grassy area and beach-our kids took surf lessons and had an amazing time. We had a great experience-my only minor comments would be to add hooks in the condo for cloths, purses, etc and to include a designated area to hang wet swimsuits-maybe some hooks in the shower. Their was a sign to not hang wet swimsuits on the balcony but we didn't really have any other option. We used the kitchen quite a bit and the appliances were very nice-stocking the kitchen with cooking spray would be nice-we ended up buying some. The pool is a short walk away across the street and you can order food & drinks-in an ideal world the pool would be located on property but it didn't hinder our great experience at all! We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this property with my husband and 7 year old son mid March. From the moment we stepped foot onto the grounds we knew it would be hard to leave. The condo itself and views from the lanai were beautiful, even more so than the pictures convey. Everything was so clean! The condo was spotless and the grounds were perfectly manicured. My only regret was that we did not book a longer stay. We utilized the beach hut for beach towels, snorkel gear and beverages. The process was easy and convenient. There are restaurants, shops and local coffee in close walking distance. Two nights a week there is a luau at the hotel next door and we enjoyed hearing the music while we sat on the lanai and watched the stars. (Pro tip): You could even walk the beach and catch some of the show. Other good to know info: -The beach gets busier throughout the day, but it never felt over crowded. If you're an early bird (out before 9) you'll mostly have the beach to yourself. -Parking is first come first serve, but we never had an issue finding parking close to the condo. -There is so much that is walkable in the area including the turtles at Poipu beach. If you are on the fence about booking this property - this is your sign to do it! You will not regret it! I'd still be there right this moment if I could!

Yes (immaculate) and yes (very congenial host) and yes (Whaler’s & Cabana) and yes (fabulous view so we could check the surf for timing our snorkeling & swims as well as people-watch!). We had so much fun just playing house at Kiahuna 163 that we only shopped at Whalers (x3), Big Save (once) and Cabaña (first night dinner). Swimming and snorkeling every day and looking up the amazing variety of plant & bird-life was perfect for two eighty-year-olds! The woman at the Rent-A-Car place wanted to know why our mileage was so low. She found it hard to believe that we didn’t go any place! It was the vacation that we’ve been waiting for after 10 other visits to the Kiahuna – pure relaxing! We had already seen other parts of the island on our ten other visits! We met a wonderful group of guests and locals – including a very friendly kama’aina farmer woman snorkeler who “blessed” us with her avocados and bananas. I baked three chocolate banana cakes to share with her using your excellent array of kitchen equipment! Thanks for everything!

We loved this property! Beach was amazing and perfect for swimming and boarding. Beautiful grounds and unit - had such an inviting, island feel and enjoyed the layout and view on the lanai. Amazing!!!

This property was amazing! The condo was super clean and everything was in amazing shape. The bed was super comfortable and shower had great water pressure. The resort was amazing. The resort is Quiana well taken care of. You are steps from Kiahuna beach and Poipu is just a short walk. The snorkeling is amazing! This side of the island was great! There is lots to do close by but it is also only an hour drive to the north shore. We only had morning rain while we stayed in July.We will definitely book this place again.

Kauai Vacation

Condo is just as it appears on VRBO. Had some trouble with the deadbolt when we arrived. Contacted the managing company and received a quick response to correct the issue. Condo was clean and well stocked. We loved sitting on the patio to watch the sun go down at night. The grounds are gorgeous and the condo is in a great location, short drive to groceries. This condo gives you good access to all the beaches on the north shore of the island. My wife and I would definitely rent this property again.

Nearly perfect

It's an excellent place to stay. No place is perfect but this one comes very close. We had a couple minor issues when we first move in but I called Outriggers and they had someone there in a few minutes and took care of it. I would definitely try to get this unit again if I ever come back.

We acquired Kiahuna Unit 163 (Building 24) in December 2024 after visiting Kiahuna over 30 years with family and friends. We live outside of San Francisco in Marin county. Our favorite thing about Kiahuna is the relaxed, residential Poipu Beach vibe.

This is real nature just outside your door. Relax on the Great Lawn to soak up some rays and read a book. Wander in the ocean to feel the surf and maybe swim laps. Walk along the coast up to the Hyatt and shipwreck beach or down to spouting horn. Many families have grown up here - its a home away from home. Over the years we've probably rented nearly a hundred times. We've seen all the units. We fell in love with Kiahuna 163 because it is located in the prime activity area of Kiahuna Plantation and it was fully reconstructed with an eye to quality and comfort. Everything in the unit is top notch. We think Kiahuna unit 163 in Building 24 sets a standard for the next wave of Kiahuna guests.
