COUNTRYSIDE GETAWAY: Two bedroom cottage in Sperryville near Old Rag Mtn.

Be it for family fun, a romantic getaway, or a friends weekend, the Stonesthroe Cottage awaits you.

The 2BR/1 BA guest house is located 5 minutes away from the Old Rag Mtn parking lot. it is equipped with all modern amenities surrounded by 10 acres of serene space at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains that include a river, plenty of outdoor seating to read, observe wildlife (including our chickens and bees) and stargaze, plus a fire pit to enjoy s’mores. Don’t forget to check out the amazing show the fireflies put on during summer nights or the breathtaking views of fall foliage!

The bedroom upstairs is a loft with high ceilings and a cupula, a king bed, TV, closet, and an oversized chair with comfy blankets perfect for reading or journaling. Downstairs, you’ll find a bedroom with a queen bed and a small bathroom. Our living room space contains a couch and a corner that includes a microwave, fridge, coffee/tea bar, and the option of using a countertop induction range with supplies to prepare a meal. We have a dining area set up for you on your private deck.

Outside, you are welcome to roam and take a walk to the trout-stocked Hughes River on our property. Make a catch? Use our grill or fire pit in the evening.

The cottage also has board games and books to entertain in the event of a rainy day.

NOTE:
Our area is quite remote and yes, that means cell service can be limited. We have wifi that allows you to enable wifi calling.

The Stonesthroe Cottage is our guesthouse. Our private residence is also on property and we are just a short walk away should you need any assistance.

We have two beehives on the property. While they are not close to the guesthouse, we want to make sure all are aware in the event a guest is allergic.

We are nestled in nature. Mother Nature provides tranquility, serenity, and… all sorts of wildlife. We often see lovely deer and stunning birds. We occasionally see bears and snakes and sometimes deal with pesky bugs and critters… including stink bugs fall/winter/spring. We ask that you respect the wildlife you may encounter and keep your distance. We also have plenty of bug repellant available for you to use.
