This charming casita is located in the heart of the historic Mesilla within a 3 minute walk to the plaza. The property is attached to the owners home which makes it both secure and private. This charming casita features fairly new amenities including a full kitchen, 3/4 bath, queen size bed, with a private courtyard with 5 foot walls. The living room is great for relaxing and enjoying the quite atmosphere of Mesilla, featuring a authentic adobe kiva fireplace that once it gets hot it radiates heat throughout entire home. Hope you are ready to stay and relax at this one of a kind casita in the heart of Mesilla.

With its rich history dating back to the mid 1800's you will find history with Billy the Kid, Pancho Villa, and the Santa Fe Trail. Mesilla Plaza shopping area and restaurants are a short walk down Calle de Parian through Historic Mesilla. Wonderful art galleries featuring local artists, great shopping, and one of a kind dining experiences await on the Plaza.

The property is owned and maintained by a local Mesillera who's family has been in Mesilla for seven (8) generations. The home owner does live on the property and you will see her out and about in the community. With shared private parking you can rest assured that your stay is to be peaceful and safe.

Yolanda Lucero is currently a Planning and Zoning commissioner for the Town of Mesilla. A member (Vice-president) of Los Leones de Mesilla (Lion's Club member of Mesilla) and very involved with the community. Her son Frank AcostaJr, Co-owner is a Retired USAF veteran and lives in Northern California with his family.

Beautiful casita with all the comforts of home. Super clean. Comfortable furniture. Cozy Kiva fireplace was just right to sit in front of with coffee in the morning. Two or three minute walk from the Plaza. The neighborhood is astonishingly quiet. Our host Yolanda answered any questions we had quickly and was super helpful.

Super located in the heart of Old Mesilla. The Casita was absolutely perfect, well-stocked (kitchen, bath, etc), and a welcoming. Yolanda's communication prior to our stay was very responsive and inviting. She even left a welcoming gift for us -- some fruit, chips and local salsa. We were literally a 4 minute walk to Mesilla Plaza which was always hopping with things to see and people to visit. 10/10 would stay here again!. Thanks Yolanda

Short Getaway

We had a wonderful, peaceful visit to Mesilla. This is our second time to visit this property. It still is a beautiful property in a very peaceful part of New Mexico. Recommend this property to anyone who wants a peaceful time and within a short distance of Old Mesilla and Las Cruces.

Charming Casita nails it!

The Casita was absolutely charming! It was very tastefully decorated. We enjoyed sitting in the lovely courtyard. We were glad we decided to stay in Mesiilla rather than in Las Cruces. Mesilla is laid back, has a great atmosphere and is very quiet. Yolanda is a wonderful host.

Excellent

This place is an authentic upgrade of New Mexico culture. Mesilla is a unique example of a New Mexico village that is surviving and keeping its original charm. This casita is lovely inside, beautiful, comfortable for 2, wonderfully located just a block from the historic Mesilla plaza. The only addition, it is a very minor on, I would make is to have a beacon flashlight for guests who want to take an evening stroll in the village. There are no streetlights outside of a block from the plaza. The streets are well cared for and feel safe, but there are no street lights in most of the village. Perhaps most visitor bring a flashlight, but I did not have one.

Enjoyable Stay

We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate in renting again. The property is a 10 in every aspect including cleanliness, furnishings and condition of the property. It is very nicely decorated. Hope to return some day.

Wonderful Casita in Mesilla, NM

Cosy Casita was just right for us. Very comfortable and centrally located in Mesilla, within a short walk to the central Plaza de Mesilla. Our host was very thoughtful and easy to visit with. We'll be back for another visit.

Perfect Mesilla Casita
