While the barrier has been constructed to limit the Sargassum reaching our beach, it also provides a perfect wading and relaxing area on a firm white sand bottom, making it great for families with kids. Additionally, it is still possible to swim from the end of our dock and that of the neighboring property. We hope this information enhances your future stays. Thanks so much for choosing to stay with Carol and thank you for your input. We've just taken an inventory of the entire kitchen inventory and will be making some replacements. We do keep our beach as spotless as possible and it is raked twice a day to keep it clear of Sargussum. We have been told that the town plans to address to the problem of owners not cleaning their beaches which should help with neighbouring properties. We've had a hard rainy season so far and the roads have deteriorated but will be improved again shortly. We hope to see you again!

We’re very sorry to hear that we didn’t meet your expectations and we are making immediate adjustments to our procedures and documentation to make sure that there are no misunderstandings in the future. We have updated our pre-arrival documentation to reflect that the cisterns are on rain water and that topping them up requires the use of a desalinization plant which consumes resources in the form of electricity used by the supplier. We try our hardest to be good stewards of the environment and conserve wherever possible. The cost of water is not an issue as we topped up your cistern during your stay. You may not have realized the special touches that we provide as they may appear to be just part of the cost of the villa but the meet and greet, complimentary arrival and departure taxis, personal check in and briefing, complimentary golf cart for bookings longer than seven days and the starter pack are direct costs to the us and are not factored into the price of the villa, which is set by the owner. We must take exception to the comments about the tour that did not meet your expectations. SeaDuced confirmed that the tour is rarely run, they also confirmed that our prices are not higher. We understand your frustration that the tour didn’t meet your expectations, but we offered and compensated you for the oversight without question. We found the tour unavailable through the tour operator we normally use and we scrambled to find an operator that was willing to do the tour. We failed in communicating that they were to provide the exact same tour. Procedures have been changed to advise our guests of such an issue rather than finding an alternate. Having said that, to say that we did a bait and switch is very unfair. The 1/2 mile of unpaved road between the villa and the paved road to town has now been improved. We sincerely hope that you will come and visit our island again and that you will have a more enjoyable experience next time.

It's been an up and down year for the Sargassum, shortly after you left the winds changed and the water was a crystal clear yet again.
