The Serene Skyway Retreat

Stay at the Skyway for your fast and easy commute in and out of Bradley International Airport and your resting spot equidistant between Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA. Your Connecticut and Massachusetts convenient gateway to business, recreation and travel, close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.

Along with the four bedrooms upstairs, we have converted the spacious walk-out basement to an extra bedroom, pool room, kitchenette, and full bath that you may enjoy.
✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $50 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

Comfortable and Thoughtful accommodations

This stay was excellent. Full of comfortable amenities. The host made us feel very welcome. My kids enjoyed the selection of video games. This was an excellent experience!

This home was perfect for my family, friends and I. Very accommodating and cozy. Quiet, safe location. close to stores and Bradley International Airport.

Family weekend

Came in to town to celebrate family, couldn’t have gone any better. We were afforded an early check in and an extended checkout that aligned beautifully with our flights. This house is warm and welcoming offers the niceties of home. Clean. Nicely decorated and conveniently located near the airport. I’ll definitely return.

Cute house on a cul-de-sac

We had a short week in Windsor Locks. We used this as a "home base" and drove to places an hour or two away each day, including Boston. We arrived late on our check in day. All the lights in the house were on, making it easy to find our way around rather than bumbling in the dark and I appreciated that. The provided door code let us right in.The house was clean. It had a smart television in every room so you can log into your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. accounts. Each room had a window a/c. A few games are in the living room. My family enjoyed playing a game of scrabble on the custom scrabble table.I had to ding the accuracy of the listing a star because it said 2 bathrooms when it is really only 1.5 baths. The bathroom on the lower level does not have a tub or shower.

A few glitches

The reservation process was good with quick communication. The location was very convenient to the airport. The property was nice and clean. However when were arrived at the check-in time the property was not ready. We had to wait outside for one hour until finish. We first noticed they were rather low on toilet paper and there was like two paper towels left. None of the closets had any hangers to hang clothes. The next morning we were woke up br a solar installation company knocking at the door for installing panels on the roof. We were not informed of this. They had to contac the property manager who I talked to. They had to access the attic through the master bedroom. A good part of the rest of the day was ladders and people going up and down and pounding noises. Worker asked to use the bathroom and plugs to charge equipment. None of this should occur while visitors are there. Hopefully this is just a short term issue but they should also make sure the unit has ample supplies and hangers to hang clothes

This was absolutely the worse experience on all travels with Vrbo’s. I came in town for my son’s wedding and had my parents flying in as well. When I first arrived, I could not access to get in. Code worked, but someone locked door. I walked around home to see if there was another way in. Basement door was open so went in, all of a sudden a woman said who’s here, I am in bathroom. Thought I was scammed at this point, so called host. Come to find out there is a tenant that lives in basement and has access to upstairs if that latch is not slid over locked. That put me and that tenant in a bad position. Then, there is nothing including toilet paper, so make sure you come prepared with everything. I have never had that happen before Then, there was an insect infestation in the upstairs master bathroom all over ceilings, walls, shower. So sent host pictures, and they were sending someone next day to clean, then the following day to treat. Then, when their worker came out to clean not only master bathroom, also kitchen light that was full of insects, he noticed the upstairs shower water was not working, so called host once again. They were sending plumber out, but late in the day, and my son’s rehearsal dinner was that evening so had to go rent a hotel room to shower for myself and family. Day 3 we received Amazon delivery of toilet paper, too late, and they treated for insects. But, now we had no hot water to shower!!More to story! Where’s my promised credit!

Some difficultly arriving, but was refunded for that night. Honestly, the bedding, shower and kitchen made it for us! Coffee, fresh fruit… THE MOST COMFORTABLE BEDDING! Some maintenance was being done, but he was quite downstairs and very handy if we needed him
