Come relax or adventure~ whatever your heart desires~at our waterfront natures paradise. Perfect for a romantic getaway or bring the whole family to play play play.

Our property is over an acre located directly on the Elk River. Newly built log cabin with cathedral ceilings, two stone gas fireplaces ( indoor and outdoor) , all new appliances, gas range , 3 bed + 2 bath, large covered plus uncovered porches with baby gates, river side covered patio and free parking

Things to do:
Explore the river. Swim, float, play!

We provide tubes for self guided floats or bring your own paddle boards or kayaks and put in right on property or you can go with Elk River Getaway located 25 minutes away for a half or full day float where they will put you in and take you out.

Go fishing ! Bring your poles.

Relax by the river with a book.

Hit up the elk river trail with your bikes and ride til your hearts content.

Ride the railroad on a rail cart with rail explorers. 10 minute drive

Drive the scenic drive to Fayetteville to explore world class white water rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking.

Waterfall exploring with plenty of options within a 30-60 min drive .

It was the perfect spot to stay for our trip to Rail Explorers. The deck was a great place to relax and unwind after traveling. Everything was as shown in the listing and the place was spotless. Would definitely stay there again.

Loved the location and was close to the Rail explorers which was alot of fun. Found a nice little restaurant not too far with friendly folks inside and had a wonderful stay . BTW lovedddd the claw foot tub

The host was amazing regarding communication and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The cabin is absolutely amazing and we loved the indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces. The location was awesome for getting out and exploring the area. Being right on the river while grilling over a wood fire was just what I needed after a hectic month. I also have to say, out of all the places I’ve rented, the furniture at this cabin was the most comfortable. We plan on making a visit every year because we enjoyed it so much.

Beautiful cabin on a clean river. Had a great time hanging out with friends on the deck & at the pavilion by the water. We had a great time kayaking even though the water was low this time of year. Not much fishing this time of year though. Rail Explorers - Elk Division very close by & lots of fun. Wonderful host with great communication.

For context, our family returns to our roots annually, however, this year I broke my foot the night before check in. Ultimately I made it a few days after the rest and was so thankful for the cleanliness and accessibility. The kayaks were a hit, distance to town is very convenient. Neighbors are as lovely as the host, who checked in during our stay. My pups thought they’d gone to heaven on the gated porch.

Great getaway

This house is perfect for a getaway. Beautiful and spacious. The fire pits make it even better. We enjoyed the property sitting out listening to the river and the rain was so relaxing. I will book here again. Only thing was the claw foot tub in the bathroom just wish it was hooked up to be able to soak in it.

All it was advertised.

Kids mastered the tree. Nooo! Then out to every ‘Y’Floated down Elk River. Dum-Dum Daisy Dog too!We all gained three pounds.Check out the Dairy Bar down the road!

Beautiful cabin on a river

Here’s a polished version of your review that improves flow, grammar, and clarity while keeping your voice intact:---We were on our way to Kentucky from New Jersey and decided to spend a night in West Virginia for some downtime and relaxation. This cabin provided exactly what we were looking for. From the beautiful craftsmanship of the cabin to the bedrooms with large windows and access to a deck overlooking the river, every detail added to the peaceful atmosphere.The neighborhood was quiet and serene. The home was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was using the kayaks for a short trip from the bridge — it was the perfect way to take in the breathtaking mountain landscape.Our hosts were responsive and easy to communicate with. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.-

The cabin was as pictured and as described. Very remote, very quiet, very clean. The kitchen was well stocked which is pretty important since you are at least 30 minutes from anything and about an hour from a well populated area. If you love outdoors, peaceful river and mountain views then this is for you. We enjoyed the back porch and the outdoor gas logs early morning and late evening. The only reason I didn’t give five star ratings across the board was the following:1. We stayed two nights and only had one set of towels and wash cloths.2. No throws or extra blankets3. The resident cabin kitty was annoying to my dogs. We were warned it was there after booking. I love animals but wish it hadn’t hung out on the porch meowing for food all weekend.(and I did feed and water it daily)4. The tv was the size of a computer monitor. Thankful we had good weather and could be outside but definitely needs a bigger tv.

Nice little getaway

We stayed in this cozy cabin with our family of four. Perfect size and right on the river. Unfortunately we were hoping for some good fishing but the river was high due to rains the week before. We did enjoy the Elk River Trails nearby and a beautiful drive down to Fayetteville. Ashley responded very quickly and was easy to stay in touch with. The neighbor was very nice and helped out if we needed anything. We didn’t have animals but know they are allowed here. The cabin could be cleaned more throughly and furniture is quite worn down. Beds were comfy though. The water temperature and pressure were good. Plenty of dishes and utensils and basic seasonings and condiments here. Bring your own food as Dollar General is the closest store around. We enjoyed using the outdoor grill for a couple meals. This place is really good if you want to be away from it all and just relax with a beautiful view of the river. The outdoor fireplace was a plus too.
