Summer Getaway

Property is located central to a lot of great hiking and fly fishing locations. It's also not a far drive into Asheville to enjoy a nice brunch downtown. The house is very spacious. Internet is slow if you want to try doing anything work related there, but they do have a nice desk downstairs. The exercise equipment is clean and works well. With how hot and humid it was in NC the a/c was struggling a little which made it musty downstairs but the two bedrooms upstairs didn't have issues. Kitchen is well stocked and the living space upstairs is very comfortable. The listing information felt very accurate and the owners were quick to respond.

Stay in May

The house was lovely and suited our needs well. It was very comfortable with plenty of room. The porch was well used by us. We had cool weather during our stay, which we thoroughly enjoyed since we live in Florida. It was a nice place to sit and read! The kitchen was well equipped although we could have used a few more china dishes and a toaster.... While there was traffic noise on the porch, its proximity to Boylston Hwy was convenient. Although the entry road was not a problem for us, it would have been nice to know that it is a single lane. Once familiar with it, it was fine, but first. impression was a surprise. Overall, it was a perfect fit for our visit and we would consider renting there again.

Welcome to our cozy hillside hideaway in beautiful Mills River, where the Smoky Mountains meet small-town charm and outdoor adventure. Tucked among the trees, this peaceful neighborhood offers a sense of seclusion while keeping you close to everything Western North Carolina is known for.

What we love most is the tranquil setting; wake up to birdsong, sip coffee on the deck surrounded by trees, and end the evening under star-filled skies. It feels like a mountain escape, yet you’re never far from modern conveniences and incredible experiences.

The location couldn’t be better: we’re just 20 minutes from Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) and perfectly situated between Asheville, Hendersonville, and Brevard. This makes it easy to explore a variety of local gems. Spend the day hiking breathtaking trails in Pisgah National Forest or DuPont State Forest, where you’ll discover waterfalls, scenic overlooks, and winding mountain paths. Or take a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, only minutes away, for some of the most iconic views in the region.

When you’re ready to unwind, the neighborhood places you close to award-winning breweries and restaurants. The famous Sierra Nevada Brewery is just minutes away, offering craft beer, delicious food, and live music. Asheville, known for its vibrant art scene and foodie culture, is a short drive north, while Brevard charms visitors with its small-town feel, music scene, and outdoor activities. Hendersonville adds another layer with its apple orchards, wineries, and seasonal festivals.

What we enjoy most about this neighborhood is the balance it provides; peaceful retreat when you want to slow down, and endless adventure when you’re ready to explore.
