Devil Track Lake Home

The ideal home base for an up-north adventure, all while being footsteps from great food & drinks at Sky Port's Raven Rock Grill. Step out your back door for anything/everything outdoors, but if needing a break from the great outdoors, it's a short cruise down the hill into beautiful downtown Grand Marais!

219 Fireweed is a recently updated 2-story home on Devil Track Lake, 8 miles up the scenic Gunflint Trail from Grand Marais. Cozy home, with vaulted ceilings, fireplaces and in floor heat. Floor to ceiling windows offer great views of snowy winters or summer months watching float planes landing/departing. Enjoy a morning coffee on the lake-facing deck or step out of the lower-level patio for an evening fire by the lake's edge, listening to loons and stargazing under the northern lights. You cannot beat the incredible sunsets on the far west end of the lake!

Although having your own backyard, the home is also part of an association, so you are free to walk the shoreline a few hundred feet to Sky Port where you can rent boats/pontoons/etc. In winter months, you are in the epicenter of the best snowmobiling in the state! Again, stop by Sky Port for non-oxy premium fuel and head south on the state snowmobile trail to the Trestle Inn, northwest up the Gunflint to Hungry Jack Lodge, or east on the Blueberry trail to Grand Portage!

Great lake home close to Grand Marais

As a family of 7, we enjoyed the well maintained home. Beds were comfortable and furniture was in good shape. Tom responded quickly to questions and advice while we were there. We enjoyed lake access and the kayaks available on property as well as the pontoon rental for a sunset cruise. I loved the mornings on the deck with the beautiful views. It was a wonderful stay!

The pictures don’t do this home justice! So quiet and cozy, all the furniture was arranged perfectly for the layout of the house. We enjoyed long walks down the quiet road with plenty of space for the dogs to run around. Tom communicated with us every step of the way and gave plenty of recommendations of things to do. We have every intention of coming back the next time we need some peace and quiet to reset

Perfect location to visit multiple areas

Very beautiful and comfortable place and setting. Near to Grand Marais but removed from the city. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Kitchen was well equipped. Host had recommendations that were helpful. We explored East and West from Grand Marias so it was a good location for us. We were all pleased and would stay again. Worth the 8 hour drive.

Perfect!

Host and house were equally great! We were a party of 8 with a last minute booking and Tom went above and beyond to accommodate us! The house is clean and well equipped with everything you need. The little restaurant nearby was warm and welcoming! If you are looking for a laid back, beautiful home with great views and nice quiet location, yet close enough to do all your sightseeing, look no further! We booked a flight over the area at the nearby airport (3 mins away), WHAT A TREAT! We will be back!!

Snowmobiling getaway.

This rental is perfect for a great sledding getaway. Jump on the lake and head north to the gunflint or go south to Lutsen. Perfect location. Excellent comfortable cabin.

Great property! Great location!

We were going to be in the area and decided to add in some snowmobiling while here. This is a great place to stay right off the lake and trails. Walking distance to the lodge and restaurant. Tom was great to work with. We’ll be back.

Quick getaway

Great place

Stayed three nights in early February on a group snowmobile trip. Great house. Very clean. Kitchen has everything you need. Location is ideal. Steps away from Sky-port Lodge. Endless space to park trucks and large trailers across the street at the old airport. Perfect location. The trail is on the lake and you can go any direction from this house. Tom is great. Very responsive and helpful with any questions you have. Will stay here again when I get back to this area.

Great location and property

Rented place to go snowmobiling and the property is located in a great location. Right on trail, restaurant and fuel on site and close to Grand Marias. House is very nice and has everything you need for a great getaway. Even though I didn't stay during the summer I'm confident it would be a great spot then as well with the lake and everything else the north shore has to offer. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond with the few questions we had. Will definitely be renting here again.

Great Place!

Location is a 10 and the home is a 10. Lots of room and very clean. Located next to trails and close walking distance to the bar/restaurant! We plan to book this place annually as owner was great to work with as everything stated correctly!

A couple years ago my wife let me do something crazy and purchase 219 Fireweed! Growing up I had often visited the area, but now having two young children of our own, I'm excited to start sharing the adventures with them and any other family/friends/acquaintances that would like to visit! I love to snowmobile, fish, hike or simply disconnect from busy everyday life with some fresh air!
