3rd stay there and had a wonderful time. Beautiful sunrises and saw some dolphins swimming this time. Lovely beach walks, park next door and so quiet and serene. Can’t wait to return.

Beach Paradise

The location and views are amazing. Enjoyed some great local seafood and the relaxing vibe. The sunrises are one of a kind. Can’t wait to go back!

The house is beautiful and location is very nice. Very relaxing. It had an everything we needed. There was some confusion trying to gain access to the property though. Not having direct access to chat with the host is inconvenient and delayed us in trying to check in. It was also pouring rain at the time so that made it stressful; although no one can do anything about the weather. We would stay here again

Thanks so much for staying with us! We’re really glad you enjoyed the house, the location, and that it worked well for your family weekend. We do hate that check-in started off stressfully — especially with everyone arriving in the rain. We send detailed arrival instructions and access information ahead of time so guests can head straight into the home upon arrival. When we connected by phone, we discovered someone in the party was attempting to access using a different code than what we provided. Thankfully situations like this are very uncommon, but travel days, weather, and coordinating multiple family members can sometimes create a little confusion. We’re glad we were able to help get everything sorted quickly and that you were still able to enjoy a relaxing weekend together. Thanks again for visiting us!

House was clean and ready for check in. Walk to the beach was horrible it needs the blue carpet rug so it’s an easier walk. Bugs was horrible outside of the house and was bitten numerous times. Description says dog friendly but doesn’t say there is a limit. Please update for future residents.

We're glad you found the home clean and ready for your arrival. Traveler's Rest is a beach house built on pilings and is not advertised as an accessible property. The beach access is a natural sandy path, as is typical throughout Alligator Point, and there is no beach access mat or paved walkway. Guests seeking ADA-accessible beach access may find those amenities at designated public beaches. As for insects, this is a coastal Florida environment surrounded by marshes and native vegetation. Mosquitoes and other insects are common, particularly during warmer months and around dawn and dusk. Regarding pets, this home is dog-friendly with limits on the number of dogs permitted. Those limits are part of our reservation policies and are intended to be addressed during the booking process so we can determine whether the reservation is a good fit before it is confirmed. We appreciate the feedback.
