Clean house in quiet neighborhood

The house was the perfect stay for my family and I during a graduation weekend. Host was quick to respond and house was very clean.

Overall the property is nothing short of exceptional. But as good as the property was the host was difficult to communicate with and seemed intentionally vague. The listing advertises EV charging is available and I was willing to pay a premium for that feature. Ahead of check in I messaged the host to confirm that availability and their response was that “there were chargers nearby.” They also said that access to the garage was available upon request. I requested it ahead of check in and that message was ignored until my stay was almost over. Not to my surprise but there was an EV charger in the garage seemingly being hidden from guests to use. EV charging is not the end of the world, but this is not how you do business. If you list an amenity make it accessible to your guests paying top dollar rather than ignoring them.

VRBO contacted me regarding your request for a full refund, citing that the property lacked an EV charger. After reviewing our message history and the supporting documentation I provided, VRBO closed the case without issuing a refund. I'll let decision stand on its own. For the sake of accuracy: your initial inquiry was whether charging stations were available in the area, and I confirmed that they were. When you subsequently asked specifically about garage access, I provided it. Access logs confirm the garage was accessed multiple times during your stay. There was no ignored request, no hidden amenity, and no attempt to conceal anything from you. I take guest experience seriously, and I'm proud of the property. I'm equally committed to an accurate public record when one is called into question. The outcome of your refund dispute reflects that record. I wish you well in your future travels.
