We chose Brainerd because it was close enough to the cities and had all the amenities we were looking for; shopping, hiking, fishing, beaches, now with some unique restaurants in the area, why would you want to be anywhere else.

Looking to buy a resort, we knew from the moment we arrived that it was the perfect fit for us. Its peaceful setting offered a quiet escape, yet it was conveniently close to town. The size was just right—small enough for us to manage on our own. Confident in our determination, we believed that with hard work, we could make the business thrive. We committed ourselves fully, and through dedication and effort, we succeeded in building a successful operation. Of course, as with any business, we faced challenging times, but looking back, those difficulties made us stronger and more resilient. We offer a variety of amenities for our guests to enjoy, including kayaks, paddle boards, a paddle boat, and a canoe—all available free of charge. The cabins are thoughtfully spaced throughout the property, rather than being lined up along the beach, providing privacy and a sense of tranquility. Our lakeshore restoration project has been a source of pride, featuring native wildflowers that we have shared with many guests over the years. If you are unfamiliar with making a fire, cleaning a fish, or using a motor or paddleboard, we are always happy to assist.
