Discover the charm of this delightful 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom gem nestled in the historic Dean Highland area of Waco. Perfect for creating unforgettable memories with family and friends, our home offers a spacious private backyard adorned with mature pecan trees, and ample outdoor seating. Each room is thoughtfully furnished, featuring unique touches designed to ensure comfort and relaxation after a day of exploring Waco.


Each room in our home is uniquely themed to create a delightful atmosphere. The dining room, kitchen, and living room are adorned with Sunflowers and Honeybees, respectively. The living room features a leather couch. Our bathrooms retain their charming original yellow and green tiles, complemented by vibrant decor. The bedrooms offer a variety of themes: a serene white and light blue rose queen bedroom, a bold dark blue queen bedroom, and a bright and cheerful twin set bedroom.

Step outside to our inviting backyard, where you can enjoy a game of bocce ball or corn hole toss, explore the fort, or simply relax under the stars. Parking is convenient with a long driveway that accommodates up to three vehicles, plus additional parking space available out front.

This home is a great place to stay. The house itself is very nicely decorated with original vintage tile in the bathrooms and great furnishings. The beds are comfortable too. Delores, the host, was wonderful and very helpful. All in all, highly recommend the Abode on Proctor!

Lovely home with generous accommodations, Enjoyed birds in the backyard. Everyone from teen to great-grandparents was happy. Some nearby roadworks during our stay, but impact was minor. Short drive to H-E-B, target, Cameron park.

Well-appointed home. Anything you could need they had. Extra supplies for the bathroom and well provisioned kitchen. Very clean. Beautiful house.

I cannot say enough about this adorable, cozy home with a fabulous yard. It was well appointed and had wonderful amenities. Our stay there was perfect thanks to this amazing house and our very communicative host. I highly recommend staying here when you are visiting Waco!

Overall excellent!!Our two night stay was excellent. Home was very comfy, clean and well organized. Bed mattress were firm and comfy, plenty of pillows. More than sufficient amenities of all kinds, better than a motel. Shower water pressure was excellent. Location is near many attractions. Will definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

This is the most well stocked VRBO we’ve ever stayed at! Loved all the little extras in the bathrooms and kitchen - especially the Nespresso! Quiet neighborhood with a lovely backyard. This may be the only place we stay going forward in Waco. Loved it!

Place was just as listed. We weren’t sure about neighborhood when we first arrived. Looked a little sketchy. We were four women traveling alone. However, we never felt unsafe or scared. WIFI wasn’t that great. That is our only complaint . Ladies with me really enjoyed complimentary wine.Owner was very quick responding to any inquiries.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Really comfortable beds, very pleasant outdoor space to enjoy morning coffee, clean, and a quiet neighborhood. Photos were accurate. Looking forward to staying here again.

We booked this home at the last minute when our family member was placed in hospice. She passed the morning we arrived and we just want to thank you for providing such a welcoming haven of warmth and comfort at the end of hard days. We felt right at home and enjoyed every touch of sunshine that you’ve added. We could not get over how you thought of literally every single thing anyone would need – chargers everywhere, toiletries, snacks, water, coffee, seasonings…we could go on and on. Loved seeing that someone was a Baylor Alum – our aunt was as well! We felt well cared for and so grateful to know that we would have the wonderful beds and happy surroundings to come “home” to. My husband and I have always had a vision for being short term rental hosts. When we laid our eyes on this little mid-century abode we embraced her immediately! The original hardwood floors and the original tile in the bathrooms are just perfect.

I enjoy thrift shopping (the thrill of the hunt), spending time with family especially our grown sons.

Being a host and sharing our little abode with you and your family thrills us!

We chose this neighborhood because of the quaint little homes which are located here and also because the close proximity to everything that is Waco.

The Abode has been refurbished but still holds an great amount of charm from the era it was built. The original hardwood floors and the original tile in the bathrooms.

Step outside into the spacious backward, privacy fenced, sit under the stars and enjoy a glass of wine.
