Very Private with a Great View

My husband and I stayed at Casa Olayh with another couple. It was a perfect house for the 4 of us. We enjoyed hanging out in all of the common spaces- the roof top terrace, the second floor palapa, the first-floor dining area and the pool deck. The house is very private at the end of a street. The walk to the beach and town was pretty easy. There were plenty of good restaurants close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Great week!

We had a great in Casa O’Lhay. The host was very responsif. The home was 10 min to the beach. And the beach in that aeria is more quiet than downtown. I would also suggest to rent a golf car. It makes the drive around town much easier. The house is located on the hill with a beautiful view and the surrounding is full of trees.Quiet and peaceful.Wifi worked great we were about 6 people and we had no problem connecting to the wifi.I definitely recommend Casa O’Lhay :)

Can't imagine how beautiful this is!

This house is AMAZING. I want to pick it up and move it to my back yard. Jan was attentive and responsive. Omar, the property manager was FANTASTIC charming and so quick to respond. A local, he had connections for anything we wanted. When there was an issue he responded immediately and got it handled. Not high in the hills but far enough up to be away from the noise of town. Walking distance to everything. We rented a cart especially because my mom is not super mobile on hills and rough terrain. Made zipping around town a breeze. This town is noisy and vibrant and growing SO fast. The pool was the best part. Some shade most of the day and just the right size and temperature. But the most fun part was that we figured out we could watch the sunset over the mountains three times if we ran up a level right after it set ;o)

Great Vacation in Sayulita

We loved our stay at Casa Olayh! We’ve stayed in Sayulita a few times as a family with teenagers and loved the quiet neighbourhood as well as the large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the pool was the best we’ve had in a rental house. Property manager Omar was also awesome to deal with. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful Place to Stay!

This was such a lovely property. A really uniquely laid out house, with 3 levels, which made it fun, and gave everyone their own room, bathroom and balcony with a great view. The views are beautiful and we enjoyed the sunsets every evening. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything needed to cook. The pool was wonderful, situated with a view with the forest. We enjoyed staying on the hill, away from the busy downtown. We quite enjoyed the quieter neighborhood, cute restaurants and beach, right within a quick walk. We did have fun renting a golf cart and that made it quick, fun and easy to go anywhere we wanted. The owners and property manager were very welcoming and helped with anything we had questions about. I highly recommend. Staying in this house was one of the highlights of the trip - giving us a great place to relax!

Beautiful house, views, pool, and location. We loved our stay! Golf cart rental highly recommended since the road to the house is pretty steep. Perfect for people who don’t mind getting a little cardio in because the views and privacy is worth it!

Love staying at Casa O’laya! Plenty of outdoor space. Beautiful pool with amazing views. Omar (property manager) and his team were very helpful. The owners (Jan) were very welcoming. Would recommend for sure!

Quiet, private and everything you need!

Worked great for our group. Everyone had space to move and have privacy. Good size pool for our group (7people). Amazing views from all levels. Was a good move to have a golf cart to get supplies and get around Sayulita if you like to explore. Great trip and if we go back to Sayulita, we would have a tough time picking different house. Bob

BEST MONTH OF OUR LIVES

We enjoyed our residence at Casa Olayh for the month of February. We loved the house! It easily accommodated our multi generational family. The mix of comfortable indoor bedrooms and inviting outdoor spaces was perfect. We swam in the pool multiple times each day. The kitchen was sufficient for cooking most of our meals in. We walked every where for the month- twice daily to the beach, to yoga classes at Hotelito de los Suenos Rose Room, and into town for grocery and craft shopping. The hill to the house and the stairs between floors made us stronger. The property manager Omar was always a helpful resource. We hope to return to this paradise. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Incredible Views!! Refreshing infinity pool!!

Thanks, Jan, for sharing your beautiful Casa with us! We loved having breakfast on the rooftop each morning and never tired of the view. The refreshing pool was so nice for us to return to after a warm day of hiking, surfing and sightseeing. This was a great spot for our family to be reunited before the holidays!! Our family vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in Sayulita!!!! The house we had was very impressive and well maintained. Our grandchildren especially loved the infinity pool as did the adults. We were only minutes away from the main downtown area which we found was easily accessible by golf cart. The tips left by the owners was very helpful ie: eating recommendations , where purchase items. The staff was very professional and was there to help. All in all we would definitely book another visit and in fact are looking at 2020 for a month😎

We started at the Casa Olayh with 5 girlfriends for a week to celebrate a big birthday. It was truly a fabulous time. Love the pool and used it multiple times each day. The location of the casa was close enough to walk into town, yet we were up in the trees with great views. Like a little oasis. Very private. Thank You !!

Casa Olayh was a huge property that met all our needs. Unfortunately it’s mosquito season and we could not deal with all the mosquito bites. My advice don’t book in the summer House is not mosquito protected. No screens on windows or doors.

My family could not stop commenting on what a special house this was. The design lends to multiple spaces where members can hang out and enjoy the breezes and view. The pool was extra special after a hike up the dusty road that was a real work out. A work out that was needed after all the great food and alcohol that was being consumed, so we really didn't complain. The lush landscaping really helped with shade and a feeling of being in a jungle, not in dried up brush which surrounds many of the hillside homes. Birds were a delight. Jan and Ramon were very helpful. We needed more drinking water and Ramon had it delivered in less than 10 minutes after our request. The pictures of the Casa are accurate. Very clean. Just fantastic.

Loved the location!

We just spent a whole month in Sayulita at Casa OLayh and would highly recommend it. One of the best things about the Casa is its location. For us, it was just perfect. It is far enough away from town that we were afforded peaceful nights for sleeping and peaceful days for lounging by the pool. It wasn’t too far however, so that the walk in to town wasn’t too onerous. Also, although there is a bit of a small hill (just at the end, the final road up to the Casa), it wasn’t too steep (like Nanzal hill) but enough to provide some amazing views and gorgeous sunsets, especially on the upper levels. Also, being on the North side, if you are a bird lover, it is a great spot for watching. I saw so many birds, some of which I learned later are only in a small area on the west of Mexico and not always easy to spot. The Chachalacas are eager to converse in the morning. We got used to them, but if you are a light sleeper, and want to sleep in, you may need earplugs. The other great thing about the location is that we often got some lovely breezes at the Casa. The heat would sometimes get too much for the kids in town, and it was refreshing to get back to cool off in the pool and catch the breeze. The pool was a godsend. We did admittedly spend more time there then at the beach. The rooms are very comfortable (in size and furnishings) and nicely decorated. The artwork (most of it Jan’s) is also a very lovely touch. The amenities allowed our month-long stay to be comfortable. We didn’t feel like we were lacking in anything to make breakfasts, lunches, snacks, or even dinners. Also, the staff were very friendly and kind and the property manager was very attentive. He was easy to reach regarding any issues and very responsive in terms of dealing with them. There were never big issues, the biggest probably being lack of running water (which is not a problem specific to Casa OLayh, but to Sayulita), but they were always dealt with quickly and professionally. I was always impressed with Ramon. And the owners were also very lovely and easy to deal with. Jan even checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure things were going well. All in all a fantastic place. Not a choice you would regret.

Perfect in every way...

Just returned from spending two amazing weeks at Casa Olayh. We were a party of six and the house layout was just perfect. The three in-suite King size bedrooms on separate floors provided plenty of space and privacy for all. Every level of the house has spectacular views of the ocean and the sunset. The trip up the spiral staircase to the top level is a bit daunting but well worth it. The owners installed a mini fridge up top so cocktail hour on the roof was a no brainer. The house also comes with a brand new infinity pool which is really lovely and was a refreshing and welcome break from beach. The property manager and the staff were extremely responsive and handled all of our questions and requests , including arranging for in house catering. While the Casa is within walking distance to the beach and the downtown, you might want to consider renting a golf cart or two. Sayulita is a cool little town with many nice shops and good restaurants. We all fell in love with the town and it's people!

A perfect house in a wonderful Mexican town

Five of us stayed at Casa Olayh for two weeks recently. We had a very good visit, partially because of our accommodations and also because of the town of Sayulita itself. The house is exactly as described in the VRBO text and was a perfect place for five people as we spread ourselves across the three floors. Our biggest challenge was deciding which of the four outdoor living spaces to have our evening margeritas. The house gave us our comfortable retreat for dining and relaxing by the pool but was close to the restaurants and shops in the village below. Sayulita had a distinctively Mexican feel but with enough restaurants and amenities to serve tourists. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and we recommend Casa O Layh as a great place to stay for your visit to Sayulita.

What a place!!

I would recommend this to anyone. We enjoyed our stay here so much and didn't want to leave. Pool was amazing. Nice walk to town but far enough away for quiet nights and offered great privacy. Having a private pool and deck area was so nice. House has a lot to offer. Views are amazing. Owners are super responsive and easy to work with. Can't wait to go back.

Ahhhhh at Olayah

We stayed 2/16/14-2/23/14 Family of four from Golden, Co 8yo & 5yo What an amazing place! House is in a perfect location. Far enough away from center of town but close enough to walk into town. Little hill to climb but well worth it for the views and quietness at night. We just booked our second stay for 2015. Putting in a pool which will make this pad even better. We rented a car from the airport...mistake for us. Better to shuttle in and rent a cart or walk.

My husband and I live in a country home situated on the Assiniboine River Valley on the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border in Canada. We enjoy travel, meeting people and learning about world cultures. Our two adult children and their partners have also traveled extensively. We have traveled together as a family to India, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Mexico. Now, in semi-retirement, we have decided to purchase a home in Sayulita - a place where we could spend time together as a family or on our own.

We fell in love with the 'feel' of Sayulita. The intimate small-town atmosphere of the community is the perfect fit for us and our family. We are 'small-town' people who take much pleasure in the arts, sports and adventure. Sayulita and area offers all of that. The down-town market, the art galleries, the cafes and cantinas, the beach activities and the hiking possibilities excited us. The proximity to the Puerta Vallarta airport and the amenities of the city were also a draw for our family.
When we decided to look for a property there were two important prerequisites for us. One was the necessity of an ocean view. Perhaps this comes from being prairie folk who are accustomed to a 'big' view of the sky. The other was the privacy that Casa OLayh offers, with enough space to house six-eight people comfortably.
We think we have the perfect spot - tucked at the end of a quiet, gated lane with a wonderful ocean view and only a short stroll to downtown.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We were caught by the design of the casa and the Mexican 'feel' of the house from the colour of the walls to the Mexican tiled floors. The open concept of the main living area that spills over to the terrace to meld the interior with the exterior was what we were looking for.
The upper floor that could be a separate living space or just another storey in the house was just right for our family and we thought it would be 'just right' for other families too. The kitchenette allows the upper floor guests the opportunity for a private breakfast or dinner. The large palapa & lounge area is perfect for an afternoon or evening get-together.
We have decided to add an additional bedroom/bathroom to the Casa. Also, we are excited for the addition of a large in-ground pool.
