Summary:
This Kings Beach vacation rental has everything you are seeking in your next mountain getaway. When you stay at Tahoe Bear House, you will enjoy the gorgeous views. Enter a world of comfort the minute you walk in the doors. The living room boasts wood walls, hardwood floors, a Smart TV (with YouTube TV), comfortable seating & fireplace. The sliding glass doors lead to the back patio equipped with a gas grill.

The Space:
The kitchen offers a drip coffee maker, dishwasher, blender and more. Enjoy a homemade meal at the picnic style table.

Both bedrooms are located on the ground floor and are equipped with queen beds. Bedroom 1 features a TV. A common shared bathroom comes with the shower/tub combo.

There are 2 paved parking spots

Kings Beach is a prime spot in North Lake Tahoe. Known for its outstanding public beach, kick back attitude, and easy access to mountain resorts. Of course, the sandy beach is right there and you can rent kayaks and other equipment. You'll have access to plentiful restaurants as well as a movie theater and a golf course.

Please note that requests for late checkout must be received no later than 10:00 AM local time on the day prior to your departure. Early check-in and late checkout are based on availability and require approval, and may be subject to an additional fee of up to $60.00 depending on the number of additional hours requested. Perfect cozy cabin for a ski getaway. Temperature was comfortable the whole time, kitchen had everything we needed. Peaceful and quiet. Comfortable beds. We really couldn't have asked for better for the price, it was a wonderful stay and I'd definitely stay there again.

Beds were rock-hard, and bedrooms tiny. Quality of lightbulbs in the main room was such an unappealing glaring white that we kept them off. Ceilings slope so that one side of dining table unuseable.Main problem was 48 hours of no snow shoveling the walkway and bridge to house despite multiple reassurances by management chatbots that help was on the way and that it had been "escalated". What a joke.

We apologize for the uncomfortable mattresses, the harsh lighting, and the cramped feeling caused by the bedroom sizes and sloped ceilings. We’ve shared your comments with our operations team so we can assess mattress condition (and options like toppers), review the lightbulb selection, and look at furniture placement and listing details to prevent future surprises. The delay in clearing the walkway and bridge is unacceptable. Snow removal is contracted, and we’re investigating why service wasn’t dispatched and why our messaging didn’t result in a timely human follow-up. We’re updating our internal escalation process and vendor expectations to ensure immediate action during storms. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention; your feedback will help us improve.

Beautiful and Cozy cabin

The cabin is wonderful with wooden interiors and lots of bear accessories! My 2 year old kid was super happy to feel comfortable in this cabin. Kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and appliances.

“Beary” good time!

This is the perfect North Lake Tahoe getaway for a couple. Charming cabin with all the creature comforts. Filtered view of Lake Tahoe. Peaceful and easy to get to.

Serene neighborhood

We loved staying at the Bear House. It is a very cute chalet, with beautiful old redwood surrounding it. You can see the lake. The neighbors were very friendly. The decoration are all bears, which is cute.

A+ A-Frame

Very comfortable bed and living room. Small bathroom for more than one person. Easy walk to forest and hiking area…lovely grounds and not for the inexperienced hiker. Location is nearby storefronts, restaurants, etc.

Property needs some TLC. Bedrooms very tiny. No space in dressers to store clothing. Carpet needs to be replaced. Screen door was broken. Reported, but never fixed. A couple of the kitchen cabinets and drawer had rodent poop.

Cabin in Tahoe

Nice place close to the village. I though I was renting the whole house but when I get there there was a sign saying that the master upstairs bedroom was off limits So we had to sleep in the very small bedroom With a very small bed. I will probably not recommend this place for the price

Close to Kings Beach North Lake Tahoe

Clear instructions. Cozy stay. Plenty of room 4 people. The patio is great with plenty of seating. There is a partial view of the lake. Living room with TV and fireplace was nice. Bathroom is a bit cramped but water pressure was great. We didn't use the grill or kitchen but definitely a lot of capacity. Grocery and amenities a few minutes drive. Overall quiet and relaxing cabin stay.

Review of "Beautiful Mountain Getaway"

This rustic cabin is as pictured in the description. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it is convenient to the village of Kings Beach. As mentioned previously, the bedrooms are small, and this is somewhat emphasized by the A-frame design which has the outer walls angled inward. Communication challenges with the host company, Grand Welcome, created some frustration with the stay. I was at times provided inaccurate or incomplete information, and at times provided information that was inconsistent with information in the property's onsite guidance folder. I shared these concerns with Grand Welcome, and they assured me they would address the issues. I'm sure the next guest will have a smoother experience.

Upstairs bed off limits

Didn’t see in any advertisements that upstairs bed was off limits , downstairs bedrooms very small with small beds. Nice place except laundry is a small access that is a small hatch below deck.

Lovely stay in Kings Beach

We really enjoyed our stay! The home is very comfortable, has all the necessities including beach chairs, table and umbrellas. Check in and check out were super simple. We would definitely stay here again. Also, super close to all Kings Beach has to offer. We do have a super short list of ways to improve this wonderful A frame vacation cabin : 1. Coffee maker (that works) or Keurig machine. 2. Side table in each bedroom. 3. Instructions or a way to open all blinds so guests can fully enjoy the gorgeous A Frame windows and view. 4. For summer guests, the AC should fully cool down the home during the day. Thank you so much! We had a wonderful stay!

Tahoe Bear House

The floors were dirty as evidenced by my filthy slippers. There was a red wine stain on the floor near the fireplace, which I wiped up. The vacuum does NOT work. The battery needs to be replaced (charging it does not work). We shouldn’t have to launder our sheets and towels. I have never had to do this in other VRBO homes.This was particularly difficult after having Thanksgiving dinner and then leaving on a 6 a.m. flight the next day. There were very few staples available (flour, sugar, cooking oil) and food storage wraps/containers. Need more and higher quality hangers in the bedrooms. Need a small table lamp or floor lamp in the bedrooms. We shouldn’t have to replace paper products for future guests.I never received an e-mail with arrival info and had to call from the airport in Reno to get the information sent to me (code into the house). Despite these annoyances, I like the accommodations due to its proximity to my daughter’s home and the nature trails nearby.

良かった点 : 清潔度、チェックイン、コミュニケーション、ロケーション
The listing missed one unexpected thing. The view. I wasn’t expecting the view. Its not 100Lake view, but a very pleasant surprise to be able to enjoy the bog glass windows and view of the lake from inside the house. Good place and would definitely stay here again.
