This dreamy, charmingly decorated, lakefront cottage is located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, in the quiet town of Tahoe Vista. Situated with a view to the west, it’s a perfect place to take in spectacular summer sunsets or winter’s evening alpenglow.

The cottage is roomy enough for 4 guests, with a Queen bed in the bedroom and a comfortable sofa sleeper in the living area. Full kitchen is equipped with all the basics needed to prepare and serve meals. Full bathroom just off the living area. Gas fireplace provides both ambiance and heat to keep you cozy and warm.

The Franciscan Lakeside’s seasonally available amenities include a large, sandy beach with lounge chairs; private pier; heated swimming pool; sand volleyball court; and a shared gas grill available for renters to use.

With its central North Shore location, access to all the fun is so easy! Skiing and boarding at Palisades, NorthStar, Mt. Rose, and several other ski resorts is just a 15-20 minute drive. Hiking and biking trails for all skill levels are close by. If you're bringing a boat, the Tahoe Vista Boat Launch is right next door. You can launch kayaks and paddleboards practically right outside the front door, at the Franciscan Lakeside's private beach. For shopping and dining options, the bustling town of Kings Beach is less than 2 miles to the east, while Carnelian Bay and Tahoe City lie a few miles to the West.

- Minimum age to rent: 25
- None of our properties have AC unless mentioned elsewhere
- Winter access: Chains or snow tires are often required in winter
- BBQs (propane) are not provided during winter (November–Memorial Day). Charcoal grills are banned in our area.
- Firewood is not supplied during the summer months (Memorial Day through October)
- Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash are not included
- Most have supplies like flour, sugar, salt & spices, but these are not guaranteed items
- We do not provide additional towels for beach use and encourage renters to bring them for summer stays
- For all dog-friendly properties, there is an additional fee of $100+tax per dog.
- Placer County STR rules: The county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing.
Some Highlights include: Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time. Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside a property, and all pet waste must be picked up. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
